Never Mistake a Queen for a Lapdog novel Chapter 1081

Gia made absolutely no effort to hide her mockery.

Faced with her provocation, Noreen didn't even bat an eyelid. "What a shame to waste Mrs. Naylor's good intentions," she said mildly.

"Since Miss Vance has no intention of collaborating, let's not waste everyone's time."

Pressing the intercom, she instructed Sophia, "Sophia, show our guest out."

Gia had expected Noreen to show a little humility.

After all, given Winrich's current predicament, she needed to bow her head to just about anyone.

Let alone a major prospective client like her.

She never imagined Noreen would outright kick her out.

She scoffed. "With a boss like Ms. Gilmore, it's no wonder Winrich has fallen to this state."

"You don't need to worry about that, Miss Vance. If you have that much free time, you should worry about the future of Solara Energy."

Centribo possessed the country's most advanced chip technology and was Solara Energy's best possible partner, yet Gia was throwing the deal away out of some inexplicable hostility.

With a decision-maker like her at the helm, what future did Solara Energy really have?

Assuming Noreen was just putting on a brave face, Gia kept the smirk on her lips. "I won't trouble you to worry about Solara Energy's future either, Ms. Gilmore. We have plenty of partners to choose from. But as for how much longer Winrich will even exist, well, that's anyone's guess."

With that, she stood up, flashing a fake smile. "Still, I wish you the best of luck, Ms. Gilmore."

Noreen's expression remained indifferent. "I won't see you out."

After escorting Gia out, Sophia returned to the office and asked, "What was Miss Vance's deal?"

"She came here just to pick a fight," Noreen replied.

Sophia couldn't understand it. "Winrich and Solara Energy have zero overlapping business, and you have no history with her. Why would she do that?"

How was Noreen supposed to know?

"Could it be because of Mr. Healy?" Sophia guessed wildly. "But isn't he already engaged to her?"

Hotel staff claimed Crystal was so furious she trashed the VIP lounge and smashed the cake. When she left, her eyes were bloodshot and swollen from crying.

Of course, Sophia had gotten all this juicy gossip straight from the hotel staff.

Because Noreen was the one who liaised with the hotel for her party, she knew all the details.

As for the real reason behind Gia's hostility, Noreen didn't care.

"Ms. Gilmore, you finally made it." The host of the lunch was Yves Selwyn from Monarch Capital.

Yves warmly invited Noreen to take a seat.

Nearby, Crystal let out a disdainful scoff.

Beside her, Gia chimed in with a soft, mocking laugh.

The coordinated little act instantly caught Yves' attention.
