Linda had been living in Usna for the past few years, so she never got the chance to pay her respects to her deceased parents. 

It was expected to pay her respects now that she was back in the 

country. 

Most people she knew usually spent time with their families. After a long night of contemplation, Linda decided to pay her respects to her parents. 

She had originally wanted Samson to stay at home and watch Lexi. 

Perhaps due to the festive mood, Lexi didn’t want to stay with her babysitter. She was adamant about following both Samson and Linda. 

“What are we going to do about Lexi if you go with me?” Linda asked. 

“We could always bring her along,” Samson said casually.

“Do you think your parents are going to hurt a kid or something?” 

Linda had nothing else to say. 

“Even though Lexi isn’t ours, we still raised her. She’s their grandchild, and of course, it would be okay for her to visit as well.” 

Lexi came downstairs at that very moment. 

“Lexi, can I ask you something?” Samson said. 

She was dressed in an adorable princess dress as she clumsily ran to Samson.

The moment she heard that Samson and Linda were going out, immediately wrapped her arms around Samson’s leg. 

“No matter where Mommy and Daddy go, Lexi will go too! You ca leave me behind!” 

Linda spoke, “Lexi, Mommy isn’t going somewhere for fun this tim 

Lexi walked over and hugged Linda’s leg instead. “It’s okay, Momm As long as I’m with Daddy and Mommy, I’ll have fun no matter whe we got* 

Samson looked at Linda. “She said it is okay, so I’m sure it’s fine.” 

Linda carried Lexi on her hip. “Okay. We’ll go with Lexi tomorrow.” 

The next day, Chloe’s car was parked in front of the mansion. 

They were both going to pay their respects. 

Even though it was the holiday season, there were still florists who kept their stores open. Chloe had bought a bouquet of champagne 

roses, 

Those were Adeline’s favorite flowers. 

“Linda, we should leave soon,” Chloe called out in the direction of the stairs. 

“Give Mommy a minute, Aunt Chloe. Mommy’s getting changed,” Lexi said as she walked down with a hand in Samson’s. 

“You’re up so early, kiddo!” Chloe said, gently pinching Lexi’s cheek before pulling out a 100–dollar bill and giving it to Lexi. 

She had already planned to give Lexi some money, and it just so 

happened she made the trip back to pay respects to Adeline and John’s grave. 

“Wow! Thank you! You’re the prettiest, best aunt ever!” Lexi clutched the 100–dollar bill tightly, mesmerized by the money. 

Chloe said to Samson, “I think you guys won’t have to worry about money if your daughter loves cash so much.” 

“That’s true.” 

“Let’s go,” Linda said, walking downstairs. 

Chloe was rather surprised at the sight of all three of them walking out.
