My Wife Wants a Divorce by Red Little Fruit novel Chapter 664

Looking at the serious and persistent expression on Sydney's face, Julien knew he had to drink the water.

He rubbed his temples, sat up hardly, and took the glass, drinking under her gaze.

Then Sydney felt satisfied and stopped watching him intensely.

After finishing, Julien put the glass aside and shook his dazed and heavy head.

Noticing his action, Sydney asked, "A headache?"

Julien replied, "H'm."

Sydney pinched her lips. “You deserve it! Why did you drink so much? Haven't you considered the results?'

Indefensibly, Julien hung his head down without any word.

For his poor look, Sydney did not have the heart to blame him any longer, her expression melting. "Well, do not do it again. I don't want to be worried about you every year."

Julien looked at her. "I'm sorry..."

"Don't say sorry. You haven't done anything wrong." Sydney said gently, "I understand your choice, but I hope you can leave it behind. As I have said, it's not your fault that your mother committed suicide, so do not be self-blamed; otherwise, no one could help you."

Julien blinked as if he were thinking.

Sydney touched him on the forehead with her hand, which made him confused. Then she explained, "I just want to have a check. As you have drunk so much and stayed up late without turning on the heat, I'm afraid that you might catch a cold. But fortunately, you are fine."

She put her hand down and asked, "How about sleeping for a while?"

Being faint and powerless, Julien could not move at all now.

He wanted to have a rest, but with the worry that she might leave, he shook his head. "No, I'm not sleepy."

"How should you not be sleepy?" Sydney rolled her eyes at his look of listlessness.

When Julien was about to say something, his stomach cooed.

He cast down his eyes on the stomach and blinked puzzledly. "Did it speak?"

Sydney half smiled at his words. "No, it just means you are hungry."

Whether he had eaten something was not important now. As it closed to lunchtime, she was hungry, too.

“Hungry?” Confusion flashed in Julien's eyes as if he unknew what "hungry” meant.

At that moment, Sydney had mixed feelings.

Why is he acting so silly?’

'Alcohol seems to have scrambled his brain.’

'He looks like a dumb child, not an astute guy as usual.'

’But it is somehow a cute and rare moment.’

'I have never imagined that he should behave like that while he is drunk but not

passes out.’

Sydney shook her head resignedly, pressed her hands into his shoulders, and forced him back to the sofa. "Lie well, and I’ll go to the kitchen to cook something for you."

'It is awful to keep drinking without eating. Sooner or later comes the illness.'

Julien lay down, staring at her stupidly and speechlessly.

Sydney adjusted the scarf around his neck, put a blanket over him, and stood up, ready to go out.

Just as she took one step, the man on the sofa grabbed her hand.

Sydney held back the strong desire to squeeze his cheek and walked out of the study under his intense gaze.

She had thought that the refrigerator would be empty because Julien seemed not to be a cooking guy.

Unexpectedly, when she opened the refrigerator, she found there was full of fresh ingredients.

Sydney was astonished by it and couldn't help glancing towards the study.

'It's impossible!'

‘Can he cook?'

Sydney took out a handful of greens and had a look, feeling it was scarcely thinkable that how he cooked.

'At Shallow Bay before, while I was cooking, he has tried to help but only got in the way.’

'What's more, as the leader of both the Flint family and the Flint Corporation, he should be too busy to do some cooking.'

'Therefore, these ingredients might be prepared by Zach for the servant to cook for Julien.'

Stopping thinking anymore, Sydney put the greens into the sink and took out a piece of lean meat, planning to make a millet congee of vegetable and lean meat, which was better for a drunk man than anything else.

When she finished, more than half an hour had passed.

She brought two bowls of congee on a tray to the study, wondering if he had fallen asleep.

Sydney got into the study directly, for its door hadn't closed just now.

Considering that Julien might be sleeping, she stepped softly towards the sofa, only to find that he lay inert with eyes fixed upon the ceiling, seeming to be in a trance.

Sydney bent and put down the tray.

Hearing the movement, Julien moved his eyes slightly, turning to her. Suddenly, an expression of surprise appeared on his face. "You are back!"
