My Promised Rejection (Olivia) novel Chapter 151

52 My Aunt is Waiting

Della POV

“If I may my queen, I would like to know exactly who that is and what he has done to her,” Melinda says. I look back at the woman that is still in my seat Staring straight ahead. I look back at Rork. “Do you want to answer freely or do I have to make you?” “This has been a misunderstanding, princess. I meant no harm to you. I simply wanted to show everyone that you need more than wolves protecting you,” he says.

I take a step toward him and allow a small amount of my true aura free. I ensure he is the only one that will feel it as not to harm the other warlocks and witches in the room. He immediately falls to his knees and gasps for air. I bend so I can look him in his eyes as true panic begins to set in. “I don’t need anyone to protect me. You should be more concerned about the fact that no one is going to protect you from what is about to happen.”

After a few more seconds, I reign in my aura and take a step back. He manages to get his breathing under control but doesn’t attempt to stand. “Answer Melinda, now,” I command. I almost laugh at the panic that flashes in his eyes. “Her name is Lanie. I buried her in her mind. It was a shame too, because she gives amazing bl*w j*bs,” he says. “You ba**ard. She is only eighteen. That’s a death sentence,” Melinda says, stepping toward him.

I raise my hand to stop her. She bows and takes a step back. I put my hand toward Rork and twist my hand clockwise. I’ve never used this particular power, but Amethyst insists we won’t need to even touch him to cause him pain. Rork drops to his knees and his hands go to his groin. I squeeze my fist tighter and he screams. I hear groans behind me from the men. I can’t stop the chuckle that escapes me. “Colton, can you bring me the girl,” I say.

As soon as I twist my hand back, Rork stops screaming, but he remains in a ball breathing heavy. I turn to face the girl who still looks like my mother. Everything in me wants to turn around and tear the ba**ard’s throat out for even thinking about touching my mother, but instead I focus on the girl in front of me. I place my hand on her forehead. After a few minutes, I feel the first flicker of her emotions coming to the surface. The shimmer spell fades, leaving behind a pretty girl with chestnut hair and deep brown eyes.

I watch as her eyes fill with light once again, and she gasps like she is taking her first breath after being submerged in water for a long time. Her eyes meet mine and she bursts into tears. “I’m so sorry,” she says as a sob rips through her. I move my hand to her cheek passing calming energy through my fingertips. Her sobs quiet down, but her eyes never leave me. “How did you do that,” she asks, and I hear snickers all around me.

“I am a very special wolf. You are safe now. The spell has been completely broken. I suggest in the future you are more discerning in who you trust.” Her cheeks turn pink, and she nods

He is getting more comfortable being part of the family. “Valor, can you heal him my love?” I know if I touch him to heal him Axel will lose his sh*t. He walks toward Rork, who has a puddle of blood at his feet. He pulls him up by what’s left of his shirt. He places his hand against his chest and the purple glow we now share engulfs Rork. After a few seconds, Valor drops him to the ground before moving to kiss me. “Do your worst, my queen,” he says before taking his place next to Ronan.

“I want you to know Rork what I’m about to do to you will seem like child’s play when my Auntie Tanith gets hold of you. She has been champing at the bit for her time with you. So let’s not keep her waiting any longer.” I move until I’m standing in front of him. I raise my hand in the direction of his right arm. I can see the confusion on his face until he can feel my aura again.

This time, when I twist my arm, he follows suit until I hear the familiar cracking of bone. He screams and I move to his other arm. “How many innocents have begged you for mercy? How many times did you show it?” I don’t expect an answer, as the room is still filled with his screams. I point my hand in the direction of his feet. Twisting both until they are pointing in unnatural positions. “Please stop. Please kill me,” he screams. “Are you begging for mercy?”

“Yes, please my queen. Please have mercy. You are meant to be a fair and just queen for all. You have punished me enough. Please just end my life. Don’t let your power make you into a monster,” he pleads. I throw my head back and laugh before I focus my eyes back on his.

“We are all monsters at some level, otherwise I couldn’t stand here and punish you. I couldn’t listen to your cries of pain and continue to make you suffer. I am not your queen. I already told you before that you are a mistake that needs to be erased. Even your maker won’t claim you. In fact, in a few seconds you won’t be anything but a bad memory that will be forgotten.” This time, when I raise my hand, I think about his blood rushing through his veins and his heart beating so fast I can practically hear it.

I focus on his blood heating to the point of boiling. He starts to scream again as blood that is turning into liquid fire as it courses through his veins. He starts to boil from the inside out. Blisters begin to form on his skin and I take a step back. A few seconds later his body gives out, and he collapses to the floor. The heat is rolling off his body as he heaves his last breath. “You should never piss her off,” I hear Ronan whisper to Valor.
