He looked at me with his darkening eyes and said, "Come and close the door."

When the phone vibrated, Anne would listen attentively trying to find out the source of the sound.

I did not answer the call, instead, I shouted, "Hendrix, your phone is ringing."

There was a clatter of water in the kitchen, and he answered, "you take it!"

I frowned and answered the call. Before I could say anything, I heard a cry from the other end of the line.

"Hendrix, can you come to see me? I don't understand why my mother wants me to stay in the hospital. Why isn't she taking me back to the Pearis Manor? Hendrix, is she leaving me?"
