- No Turning Back
"Young master, I will definitely protect you with my life."
Daniel's expression was serious. Sue was still young, and her face was filled with fear.
"No need to die. I only need you two to do one thing!" William said as he looked towards Sue again, "You guys have to bear with it for me! Without my order, no matter what you two see, you have to endure everything you see!"
Alice and Daniel looked at William in puzzlement. Endure what?
She didn't understand.
"Do you understand?" William asked coldly, "If Alice were to suffer or die because of you guys, then I don't need these people to kill you, I will kill you with my own hands!"
A tinge of sadness appeared in Sue's eyes, and then, she nodded, "I understand."
"Yes, young master."
Although Daniel did not understand, he still agreed to it.
On the altar, the wizards had already finished their strange dance, and Borglor was standing in the middle with his arms spread wide, he shouted out loud, "Heavenly Girl!"
"Heavenly Girl!"
"Heavenly Girl!"
"Heavenly Girl!"
The wizards and guards shouted out together. Alice frowned, this place looked like a barbaric tribe that had yet to develop.
After a series of noises, the guards lined up and entered the ancient door.
Another long ceremony.
Suddenly, someone shouted, "Kneel!"
In an instant, everyone kneeled down in unison.
"All of you!"
Eclar glared at William and said. The shining blade in his hand almost stabbed William, Daniel quickly blocked it.
William's expression was extremely ugly, but in the end, he and kneeled behind Borglor as he tightly held Alice's hand.
He suddenly kneeled, kneeling so hard that Alice's heart sank.
There was no need to think too much about it. If she was not at his side, William would not never kneel even if he was tortured. But right now, he could only protect her by doing so.
Seeing his ashen face, Alice slowly kneeled down as well.
Once she knelt, William held her hand even more tightly.
"It's fine, it must be fine."
Alice could only say this, but she couldn't think of any other way. There were only four of them on the island, neither she nor Sue had any martial skills at all, and the people on the island all had weapons as well.
Like a lamb to be butchered, she could only take one step at a time.
Sue and Daniel knelt beside them as well, and William said in a cold voice, "You two are not allowed to raise your heads, do you hear me?"
"Yes, young master."
Daniel nodded.
Alice looked at William's face in doubt. Why were Daniel and Sue not allowed to raise their heads?
Just as she was thinking, another tune sounded out, the music made everyone feel uncomfortable. Alice raised her head and looked forward, only to see the guards carrying something as huge as a crystal out.
The guards solemnly came out with huge crystals in their hands. There seemed to be something inside the crystals. They walked along the long road and arrived in front of the altar.
When they got close, Alice could see clearly that the giant crystal did not contain anything, but a person, a woman.
Alice covered her mouth in shock, staring blankly at the guards who were carrying the crystals up to the altar.
In the crystal, there was a woman with clothes like witch sitting inside. She had an extremely pale face, closed eyes, and when the sun shone on the crystal, the face of the woman became bright and beautiful.
Is that the Heavenly Girl?
It's crazy to leave people there.
Everyone began to kneel and recite some kind of prayer, including Borglor. Everyone around them recited it along with Borglor, all of them were extremely pious.
Sue was kneeling on the ground on the right of Daniel, and her body was trembling even more violently than before.
"What's wrong with you? Don't be so scared."
Daniel comforted her.
"..."
Sue knelt there with tears streaming down her face. She could not help but bite her finger hard.
She had to hold back.
She could not do this again to Mr. William and Miss Alice, she would definitely be able to endure it.
"What happened to you?" Daniel realized that she was abnormal. Why was she crying all of a sudden?
William grabbed Borglor's neck and roared coldly.
Borglor was unable to say a single word, he could only wave his hand to signal everyone to back off.
Seeing that, Eclar had no choice but to bring everyone to retreat. He stared at Daniel: "What are you doing?"
"Let us leave the island! Immediately! Now!"
William said. Leaving at this time was the main concern and everything else could be temporarily put on hold.
As he said that, William strangle Borglor tighter. Borglor almost rolled his eyes. Seeing this, Eclar could only continue to retreat and say, "Okay, okay, I will let you guys go, but you guys can't hurt Master."
"Then move out of the way. Let go of all the weapons in your hands." William said coldly.
He was glad that this was a conservative family without a gun. Otherwise, it would not be so easy to use this move.
"Alright, alright, we give way."
Eclar extended his hand out and took a step back, then brought his men to the side.
Daniel took the blade and led Alice and Sue forward while William followed behind with Borglor in tow.
Seeing that they were about to leave the Execution Forest, Eclar looked at Daniel, then at the altar. His eyes rolled as he shouted, "Why did you, the criminal, return? Is it to betray Master again?"
Daniel stopped in his tracks, looked at Eclar, and said, "I'm not a slave, and neither are you."
"Don't talk to him, go!"
William immediately scolded in anger.
Eclar continued, "Even if you aren't a sinful slave, you are still a guilty person. I saw you keep your head down, you don't have the guts to look at the altar!"
"Go!" William roared.
Daniel was about to continue walking after hearing William's voice when he suddenly heard Eclar's hysterical shout, "Sinner, you lied to my sister, but you didn't even dare to look at her?"
Hearing that, Daniel froze in place.
In that instant, he understood the meaning behind the young master's bizarre commands. He could not let him look back, and could not let him be misled.
But his feet were rooted to the ground.
"Daniel, you are not allowed to turn back! Get out of here!"
William bellowed.
Alice looked at Daniel. As if he couldn't hear a thing, he stood there in a daze with his face as pale as paper. After a long time, Daniel finally turned around stiffly under William's furious rebuke.
