"France is beautiful."
Alice asked.
"You seem a little absent- minded." David looked at Alice's wandering eyes and said, "Is there something wrong?"
Hearing that, William raised his leg and kicked the sofa beside David, staring at him in displeasure, "Why are you so concerned about my woman? She was absent-minded because she was thinking about me!"
David and Alice were both speechless. William didn't feel that there was anything wrong with his words and started to chat with David about something else.
Alice just sat there with both hands holding the cup, quietly watching the two of them. The two brothers had reunited after more than ten years, so there was nothing awkward about the conversation.
But when she looked at the two of them, Alice would think of how cold that study was, as well as how Elizabeth had gone mad.
They had a good talk, but they didn't know that their father had been dead for four years, that he had lain in that cold coffin for four years.
"I'm going to open up a field there and raise more animals. When you come over here, we'll hunt together."
"If I hit you again, you will also lose to me."
"I'm just injured this time. Once I recover, you might not be my match." David said as he looked at Alice. Seeing her in a wandering expression, he felt a little strange.
William then kicked him on the sofa: Look, what's there to look at! Do you believe that I won't dig out your eyeballs?
"Trust me, there's nothing you can do!" David said with a smile.
"Bang bang."
Knocking sounds came from the door as a guard stood outside and said loudly, "Sir, you can go to the airport now."
Hearing that, William's gaze became heavy, and his arms wrapped around Alice as he looked at her, and said with a magnetic voice, "Tell her about her brother."
After hearing this, Alice looked up at William, and then looked at David.
David sat there, his somewhat greyish eyes looking towards Alice. His lips moved a little, but he didn't say anything.
There was a long silence.
"Speak!"
William said impatiently.
David looked at Alice's face, and her face revealed a touch of dejection, as he said, "Seeing your face, I can't continue. You and he are really too similar."
How he would look at such a face and tell the story to her brother who had the same face.
"Why do you have so much to do?" William frowned, "Don't look at her.Look at me!"
Tell a story or something.
Alice smiled helplessly. "It's fine, we'll talk about it when you want to say it again in the future. Don't waste your time."
As Alice said this, she stood up from the sofa and pulled William's hand with his fingers .
"Why are your hands so cold today?" William frowned as he looked at Alice, his black eyes staring deeply at her.
"Really? I don't think so."
Alice said lightly.
William walked forward and pulled her with one hand while carrying the luggage on the ground with the other. David followed closely behind them.
After putting all the luggage on the carriage, it was time for them to leave.
"Have a good trip."
Alice said to David with a smile.
"Alright." David nodded happily, he then hugged William and patted his back with his palm, "I will give you a call when I get there, take care."
"Got it."
William said in a low voice, and did not say anything.
"You guys hurry up and leave. If you want to get married, go to San Francisco. Don't stay here, for it's not suitable for you two." David said as he hugged his little brother.
"We'll go when Mother is better, and I don't like being in England."
William said.
Alice stood quietly at the side, watching them. Even they had left, left behind only Elizabeth and a corpse to support the Cullen family.
She really shouldn't have walked into that study, shouldn't have known those things, and wouldn't have been so upset if she hadn't known anything.
Elizabeth said that it was her and William's relationship that had caused Joseph Cullen's condition to worsen.
It was because William was overprotective of her that Elizabeth fell sick.
It was as if all the responsibility was placed on her.
"Mm, then I'll have to trouble you to take care of your mother."
David let go of William's hand and turned to look at Alice. Before he could reach out, Alice had already brrn grabbed by William behind his back and he stared at David with his black eyes that was filled with enmity, "You don't have to carry her, I don't want to beat you into the hospital anymore!"
Such insolence.
"OK."
David shrugged and did not hug Alice. Instead, he turned and opened the door and was about to get in, when suddenly, he stopped his actions, turned and looked at Alice who was standing behind William, and said, "Alice."
Alice walked out from behind William, and stared at him silently.
"Alice, it's difficult for me to speak of your brother's matter. I've tried to speak of it to you several times, but I couldn't, because I've let him down." David said in a low voice.
Alice used all her strength to run towards David's car, "Stop! Stop the car!"
"Alice! Fucking dangerous!"
Why are you running along the road!
Damn it.
William immediately chased after Alice, but Alice still ran towards David's car without hesitation, and her mind was a complete blank. She only had one thought, she did not want William to die, and she did not want him to do things that he did not like.
"Alice! Come back here! Do you believe that I will kill you?"
William shouted from behind. Damn, this woman was chasing after another man right in front of him.
Alice ran like mad.
The car in front finally stopped slowly, and stopped at the side of the road. The door to the car opened, and David got off as he looked at Alice in surprise, "Is there anything else? Alice?"
Alice ran in front of him, gasping for breath, she bent down with both hands on her knees, looking at David, and she gasped for breath and asked, "Are you willing to help me with everything?"
David thought about his promise just now, "Yes, I can do anything you want, but why would you ask for my help so quickly?"
"What if you were to sacrifice yourself?"
Alice continued to ask as she panted.
"..." David's expression became serious as he stared at her, "What exactly happened, Alice? If you say so, I will do my best to help you."
"I want you to stay." Alice immediately opened his mouth, "Since you've appeared, I hope that you can continue to shoulder the responsibilities that were originally yours."
David looked at her, his face slightly pale.
"Alice, what are you saying!"
William stopped in his tracks and stood not far away from them. A pair of black eyes glared at Alice.
What can't I tell him?
David looked at William, then looked at Alice and smiled weakly, "Ok, it seems that you aren't willing for William to bear all of this. I'll promise you then, when William officially inherits the Cullen family, I'll come back."
As the eldest son, this should have been his responsibility.
William would not speak, and it would be the same for Alice. He could not let his little brother bear the burden for his entire life.
"Not the future, but the present." Alice said as her eyes looked at David. After a long while, she bowed deeply, closed her eyes and said in distress, "Sorry, please stay."
David's figure stiffened as he met William's gaze.
Two hours later, Alice, William, David and their group appeared in the ancient castle of Cullen family.
Alice walked beside William while David and Daniel followed behind them.
