Tremaine wasn't interested in food.
But he was taking his time reading the menu right now.
Since when did he care so much about food?
Just as Yesseca was pondering about this, the waiter was repeating the order Tremaine had made.
Yesseca was surprised when she heard the names of the dishes.
Tremaine had ordered all of her favorite dishes.
Yesseca felt her heart well up with emotions.
Tremaine still remembered.
It had been so long.
But he still remembered!
Tremaine had just finished making his order.
Yesseca noticed that everything he ordered was something she liked.
She then said, "You don't have to order everything for me, you can get something you like as well."
Tremaine smiled and said, "Anything you like, I like too."
Yesseca was shocked.
Tremaine realized that he had overdone it.
He said apologetically, "That was out of line. I'm sorry."
Yesseca felt uncomfortable.
Tremaine used to be such a domineering man.
He used to be so overbearing and strong.
He never apologized for his behavior and did as he pleased.
But, did he just apologize earlier?
Over that remark?
This wasn't like Tremaine at all.
Yesseca was perplexed.
She couldn't tell if she had remembered him wrong or if he had actually changed.
After they were served their plates and cutlery, they both sat in silence.
Yesseca occasionally took a sip of water.
When Tremaine first arrived, he had a lot of things to say to her.
Things he had wanted to say for a very long time.
This was his chance to finally tell her.
But when he actually sat down with her, he couldn't say anything to her.
He was afraid of upsetting her if he said too much.
He was worried she might just leave.
Yesseca felt awkward.
She replied softly, "It's alright."
She looked down at her plate.
The food Tremaine had served her was sitting on her plate.
"I'll get the waiter to get a new plate." Tremaine looked for a waiter.
He was worried that Yesseca did not like the food.
Yesseca held her breath.
She then shook her head. "It's fine. I like this dish."
She then started eating.
Tremaine relaxed.
He looked somewhat comfortable.
Yesseca didn't hate him as much as he thought she would.
He felt a strong impulse to serve her more food.
But he fought back against it.
Things were going well. He didn't want to ruin things as they were right now.
He was worried that he might cause Yessica to leave.
He wanted to enjoy this moment for as long as he could.
