Montez's eyes widened when he saw all Of the bright lights.
He said in disbelief, "Yesseca, you own all of these stores?"
Yesseca smiled and replied, "Yes."
Montez's eyes glowed even brighter.
He walked over to them and touched each store. "Yesseca, you're amazing! Truly!"
Yesseca smiled even wider.
She had received tons of praises ever since she started up her bakery.
Especially the people who knew her.
Many people often saw her as a weak person, none of them ever expected her to open a bakery and become so successful.
Even though Yesseca smiled at all of their compliments, she never thought much about them.
But, for some reason, Montez's exaggerated squeals of praise were very encouraging to her.
A while later, Montez met up with Preslie and
Ruth.
He didn't know Preslie, so they just greeted each other politely.
Montez also hadn't spoken much with Ruth.
She used to be a servant at the Quartley Palace after all.
Montez stared at Ruth, he wasn't sure how to address her.
Yesseca whispered into Montez's ear, "Montez, Ruth isn't a servant of the Quartley Palace anymore. You can just call her Madam Welmert from now on."
After hearing Yesseca say this, Montez immediately called out, "Hello Madam Welmert!"
Ruth jumped out in fright.
She quickly waved her hand at him, "Please don't call me that. You make me feel so old!"
Yesseca told Preslie everything.
Preslie didn't think it was a good idea for Yesseca to bring Montez here.
She stamped her feet and said, "Yesseca! Haven't you learned your lesson?! You should cut all connections with Tremaine! Why are you spending time with his son?!"
Yesseca explained, "Alright Preslie, but you know, Tremaine isn't his son and Montez isn't his father. They're not mutually exclusive. Besides, Sheldon is will be taking him home later today."
"Yesseca, I think you're confused!" Preslie continued, "Think how the people in the Quartley Palace will think of this. You don't know them! They might think you're trying to seduce Tremaine again! Bringing Montez here would only confirm their suspicions."
Yesseca was at a loss.
Yesseca explained, "First of all, they'll never know because Montez won't' tell them and neither will Mr. Hawls. Even if they do find out and think that way, we shouldn't worry about them. They never think well of us anyway."
Preslie was speechless.
She was so mad at Yesseca that she blurted out, "Fine! Fine! Just do whatever you want then!"
Yesseca then said softly, "Preslie, please don't be angry. I know you're worried about me, but Montez is so very lonely. Did you know he fought with a classmate of his today?"
