My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey) novel Chapter 2451

Ruth felt herself drop to the lowest she had ever felt when Preslie broke out into tears.

She reached out and wrapped her arms around Preslie.

They both ended up holding each other as they wailed in sadness. This attracted the attention of a few people passing by.

After crying for an unknown amount of time, Ruth managed to calm down.

She let go of Preslie then rubbed her eyes vigorously. She then took out some tissue paper from her handbag and handed it to Preslie, "Here Preslie, please don't cry."

Although Ruth was quite a weakling, she understood that this wasn't the time to let their emotions overwhelm them.

Preslie wiped away her tears with the tissue paper.

The tissue paper was already soaked from her tears, but she was still crying.

Ruth sniffled as she said, "Preslie, I've known for a very long time now that there are just somethings in life that we can't fight. Some things are just

meant to be."

They couldn't change fate.

Having come from a very humble family, she was all too familiar with this truth.

"Since we can't do anything more for Yesseca, all we can do is accept her fate." Ruth said solemnly.

Preslie had always been a very emotional person. She shouted, "No! I can't accept this! I won't!"

"What can we do then?" Ruth asked bitterly.

Preslie was shocked when faced with this question.

She was right!

What more could she do?

She had already thought of everything that she could.

"Preslie, we have reached a point where we've done everything we can for Yesseca. We have no other choice but to accept her fate and hide our sorrow from her. We should try to be happy and cheerful when we are around her so that she can pass in peace." Ruth said with some difficulty.

Rorite and Weverly were very close, so she came to pay her respects.

Rorita learned something from Weverly after the funeral.

The person who passed was Weverly's husband's eldest sister.

She had cut ties with the family many years ago and her family swore to never talk to her again.

Rorita was taken aback. "But why? They're family. How could this happen?"

Weverly explained, "Your brother-in-law was born into a rich family, but his sister fell in love with the son of a servant who worked for the family. This was considered a huge insult to his family."

"They ordered her to break up with the servant's son at once, but she refused to compromise. So they eloped together."

"Ever since then, her family swore to cut all ties with her and made a pact to never contact for the rest of her life."

Rorita then realized something, "But now that she's passed away, her family still arranged this funeral for her. They're not as harsh as they said they would be, even though the vowed to never speak to her ever again."
