My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey) novel Chapter 2384

Ruth was stunned.

She had no idea why Tremaine had asked such a question. Nervous, she honestly replied, "Yes, Yesseca and I were quite close."

Tremaine pursed his thin lips, remaining silent.

Ruth grew even more nervous. She added, "Mr. Tremaine, both Yesseca and Ms. Cowell are excellent women."

Tremaine looked out of the window, a hint of loneliness in his eyes.

He suddenly said, "Tell me about Yesseca."

Ruth looked at him in confusion.

Tremaine continued, "You can tell me whatever you want. Why don't you start from how you two met? Tell me what happened between you two and everything she has told you before."

Ruth was stunned by Tremaine's inexplicable request, but she had no other choice but to comply.

She recalled the memories she shared with Yesseca, describing everything to him in detail.

Tremaine listened carefully to her, not once interrupting. All of his attention was on her.

In the blink of an eye, an hour had passed.

Ruth's mouth had gone dry and the sky outside was darkening.

Ruth couldn't help reminding him, "Mr. Tremaine, would you like to head back first? It is already quite late."

"There's no need for me to do so. Go on," Tremaine ushered.

Faced with no other choice, Ruth opened her mouth once again to continue, but was interrupted by Tremaine who said, "Forget it. You can tell me the rest tomorrow."

She closed her mouth, yet accidentally overheard Tremaine muttering to himself, "It'd be a pity if she ran out of things about Yesseca to tell me about."

Ruth was taken aback. A look of astonishment flashed across her eyes.

Was that why Tremaine had asked her to tell him all that? Did he only want to hear about Yesseca from other people?

Tremaine still missed Yesseca.

The reason for that was because Ruth had become quite popular.

Yuliana had gone to Tremaine to tell him about Rorita taking in Ruth's child as her own with the hopes that he would stop the entire thing from happening.

However, instead of stopping the matter, Tremaine made even more frequent visits to Ruth's house.

Rorita meeting up with Ruth was one thing, but even Tremaine was doing the same too! How popular Ruth had become!

Although Yuliana was downcast, she couldn't vent her feelings to anyone.

After all, Madam Quartley would support Rorita and Yuliana did not have the courage to seek help from Tremaine. All she could do was just watch Ruth gain more attention and sulk.

Since even Yuliana knew about Tremaine's visits to Ruth, there was no doubt that Rorita would know about it as well.

She asked Ruth about the matter.

Ruth, ever the bad liar, was honest with her. Since Rorita had agreed to raise her son in the future, she had to treat Rorita with sincerity.

She told Rorita the truth.
