My Great Escape Led Me to You (Emily Blair) novel Chapter 880

It wasn’t until someone came over and asked if she needed to use the changing room that Emily snapped out of her daze. She apologized quietly and slipped inside.

Emily Blair changed into the clothes Tristan Davis had bought for her, folding her old clothes and tucking them into an empty shopping bag. She pulled out her phone, found Andrew Lane in her contacts, and sent him a message: *Thanks for the clothes. How much were they? I’ll transfer the money to you.*

Andrew replied almost instantly: *Don’t worry about it.*

Emily glanced at the shopping bag Andrew had given her, looked up the brand online, rounded up the amount, and sent the payment to Andrew anyway.

Just as she expected, Andrew didn’t accept the money.

With two shopping bags in hand, Emily returned to the VIP lounge.

Tristan was clearly pleased with his choice for her: a pale pink, casual athleisure set that cinched at the waist and had straight-leg pants. It flattered Emily’s slender frame and graceful figure perfectly.

He was just starting to smile to himself when he noticed the two shopping bags Emily carried—one white, one bright orange. The white bag was the one he’d given her.

Tristan was certain he hadn’t seen the orange bag before Emily went into the changing room.

Emily walked over and sat beside him, placing both bags at her feet.

Tristan picked up the orange bag, peeked inside, and confirmed it held brand new clothes. “When did you buy these?”

Emily had no intention of hiding anything. “Andrew Lane gave them to me,” she replied matter-of-factly.

Tristan let out a quiet, disapproving click of his tongue and set the bag back down. “At least you wore mine.”

Emily raised an eyebrow, curious. “What if I’d worn Andrew’s instead?”

Tristan grinned. “You wouldn’t.”
