”Alright then.” Hailey looked down sadly. Her eyelashes hid away the disappointment in her eyes.

Willow was shocked. “Mom, I need to go to work. Why did you arrange a blind date for me?”

“It’s at a restaurant near Hughes Corporation. Go now. You can go to work after having lunch, so hurry up.”

Lara took Willow’s bag and pushed her out of the door.

Willow had no choice but to go.

Tristan and Julian went back to their room and closed the door.

Tristan announced, “Grandma is getting us a stepfather.”

Julian pouted. “I don’t want a stepfather.”

“We’ll have to respect Mommy’s wishes if she likes him.” Tristan loved his mother dearly.

“But what if Mommy doesn’t like him?” Julian was worried that their mother might suffer.

“We’ll go and observe in secret to see if Mommy likes him.” Tristan’s bright, innocent eyes glinted with wisdom.

“Yeah, let’s.” Julian nodded.

After lunch, Tristan and Julian wanted Helen to take them out to play.

Lara refused and asked them to play at home.

Tears welled up in Julian’s beautiful eyes. He looked so pitiful. “Grandma, I want to go to the park. It’s been so long that I’m growing mold.”

Lara couldn’t bear seeing Julian cry. She would give in when she saw how pitiful they looked when they were crying.

Willow was having a sip of water. She choked upon hearing this.

Before she even calmed down, Mr. Lawson added, “However, I won’t take care of your children after we’re married. You have to bear two more children for me. I’ll take care of our children. You can let your mother raise your children instead.”
