My Four Miraculous Treasures (Willow and Jasper) novel Chapter 54

If he hadn’t grabbed her collar and abruptly let go, she wouldn’t have lost her balance, and the red wine wouldn’t have shattered.

So it was because of money!

Jasper finally understood the reason for her tears.

He recalled Samantha saying how pitiful Willow was. The latter had to resort to tricks, schemes, and even stealing with the risk of being thrown in jail, only to have her hard-earned money gambled away by her mother.

Twenty-thousand dollars was probably a colossal amount for her.

No wonder she was crying so hopelessly and helplessly.

Jasper took out a black card from his wallet and tossed it at her. “Take this and swipe as much as you need. There’s no password on it!”

Willow took the gold-rimmed black card. She wiped her tears away before standing up. After a sniffle, she pouted and said, “I’ll tell the manager that you bought the wine. I’ll go swipe the card now.”

It was his fault, to begin with, so there was no reason for Willow to not accept his compensation.

Twenty-thousand dollars might be insignificant for Jasper, but for Willow, it was the last straw that broke the camel’s back.

Moreover, he was the one who broke the wine, so it made sense for him to pay.

Willow confidently left with the card.

The private room was now a mess. The beautiful women Willow had brought in were standing still in fright.

They were shocked that a mere part-timer was brave enough to challenge Mr. Hughes.

After that, Mr. Hughes even gave her a black card for her to take as much as she wanted!

They figured that he was in a good mood today and wanted a woman’s company. If they could win his favor tonight, they would be able to go home loaded.

Moreover, with how handsome Jasper was, they were even willing to be the ones courting him instead even if there was no money involved.

He only gave Willow money because Willow was Yvette’s cousin and they grew up together.

He wasn’t interested in Willow at all.

Wyatt was speechless.

He wanted to cry, and it was all because of his big mouth.

Christopher and Frederick spared him sympathetic looks.

Wyatt wouldn’t be able to feel his tongue anymore. Poor thing.

Shortly after, Willow returned with a broom and a mop. Instead of cleaning up, she went over to Jasper first to hand him his card. “Here. The wine was twenty thousand, and it has been paid to Cloud Realm.”

Jasper’s dark eyes looked up at her through the smoke.
