Julian blurted out happily, ”That was Da-…”

He was about to say that he had just spoken with his father, but he stopped himself mid-sentence.

He thought of something quickly and said, “That was that. I’m happy because I apologized for my sister and we were forgiven.”

His mother had yet to admit that Jasper was their father.

All this time, he and Tristan merely confirmed it by searching the internet.

They based it on the fact that Tristan looked like Jasper and that the dragon pendant was a Hughes family heirloom.

Their mother had gotten the pendant from their father as a token.

These coincidences were evidence that Jasper was their father.

However, they were merely the results of their investigation. Willow had never admitted it before.

Tristan had reminded him not to speak carelessly or they would never see their father again.

Hence, Julian stopped himself and changed the subject upon remembering Tristan’s advice.

He was good at adapting to the situation.

Willow understood upon hearing Julian’s reasoning. She caressed his head lovingly and said in a tender voice that exuded motherly love, “Our Julian is the best. Mommy will reward you with a lollipop.”

Lilith came over and looked up. “I want a lollipop too.”

“Alright, Mommy will buy you one too.”

Hailey stood beside Willow and looked up expectantly with her chubby cheeks. She wanted a lollipop too.

Willow was pleased.

Hailey felt better after getting her mother’s kiss so she stopped crying.

Willow stood up and held Hailey’s hand. She turned to the employee and said gratefully, “I really appreciate you looking after my children. Thank you.”

The employee smiled and said, “You’re welcome. Now that you’re back, I’ll leave the kids to you and get back to work.”

“Alright, sorry for the trouble,” Willow added.

The employee left.

Julian’s sharp eyes scanned the area around them before asking, “Mommy, where’s Tristan?”

“Oh yes, Tristan. Oh no, oh no!” Willow panicked. She just remembered that she left Tristan in the restroom.
