When Willow saw Jasper leaving, she quickly ran out of the office to look for Tristan.
Tristan was still in the restroom. He would be very afraid if he came out and saw that she was gone.
Her hurried footsteps stopped as soon as she walked past the safety door and arrived at the shopping mall.
Her heart nearly leaped out of her chest after witnessing the scene before her.
A young girl had bumped into Jasper. She was holding one hand over her forehead and complaining that she was in pain from the collision.
The young girl had on a pink dress, white leggings, and a pair of leather shoes of the same color. She had two braids and was a little plump. She looked very adorable.
Despite being far away, Willow instantly recognized that the girl was her daughter, Hailey!
What was she going to do?
Did Hailey bump against Jasper?
Did he recognize her?
To her utter shock and horror, her two other children, Julian and Lilith, were also catching up to them.
Once they moved close to Hailey, that meant they also moved close to Jasper.
Willow panicked, and she instinctively prepared to step forward and carry her children away.
However, right after taking the first step, she suddenly realized that she would be exposing herself if she stepped forward to pick them up now.
Hailey, Lilith, and Julian did not look like Jasper.
Jasper might not recognize them.
However, it would all be obvious once she stepped out, and her children called her Mommy at the same time.
With this thought in mind, Willow quickly hid behind the safety door. She stuck her head out to observe the situation ahead.
As a mother, she could not care about anything else. She began walking toward them.
Her only urge at the moment was to run forward and hold Hailey in her arms. She wanted to give Hailey a sense of security and to tell her not to cry.
Just as she took the second step forward, Julian, Lilith, and the staff member running after them arrived by Jasper's side.
Julian and Lilith reached out and pulled Hailey away. They then surrounded her and hugged her on both sides, gently patting her on the back to comfort her as they did so.
"Hailey, don't cry. We'll look for Mommy with you later." Julian was behaving like a mature older brother while he comforted Hailey.
The staff member eagerly apologized to Jasper. "Mr. Hughes, I'm terribly sorry. The child was too careless and ran into you. Their mother went to the restroom. She was taking way too long to get back. The children thought she had abandoned them. That's why they rushed out to look for her…"
Jasper looked at the three children.
He recalled seeing the crying child several times in the past. Her innocent smile was so bright that it made one feel comfortable and at ease.
