Jasper's voice was cold, dominant, and strong.
He leaned closer to Willow and made her tensed up.
“Okay, I call…” She slowly took the phone from him while observing his expression.
She was thinking about what to do if the kids answered the phone. She couldn’t just repeat what she said just now.
Their conversation was warm and fuzzy.
She was hoping that Lara would answer the call.
Jasper would find out about the kids if they had started talking to her again.
It would be worse if Jasper called her personally.
In just ten seconds, Willow thought of all the situations she was about to face.
Finally, she called Lara while Jasper confined her between the sofa and him while locking his eyes on her.
Her heart tightens as she listens to the beeping of the line. She kept praying that Lara wouldn’t answer the phone.
“What’s up?”
Unfortunately, Lara picked up the call.
“Nothing, I miss you,” Willow answered nervously.
He was looking at her coldly.
Willow let out a dry laugh and tried to pull away from him. “Haha, my mom is always urging me to get married like your grandparents. I’m used to it.”
Jasper stood up and looked at her. “I'm afraid I have to let you down.”
Willow froze and she immediately understood what he meant.
“Mr. Hughes, I have no desire to marry you nor destroy the relationship between you and Yelena. I can disappear from your sight if you want.”
She knew that he had trapped her by his side because he hadn't played with her enough five years ago.
