Willow looked around and was relieved to see that Jasper was not around.

She took out her phone and called Lara.

“What’s wrong? Why are you disturbing me? Can’t you let me gamble peacefully?” Lara complained as soon as she picked up the phone.

Willow got straight to the point, “Mom, hurry and go home now. The kids are asleep at home by themselves. I’m outside now.”

“What? What kind of mom are you? How could you leave them alone in the middle of the night? Aren’t you worried about the danger that could happen?” Lara was angry.

Willow was so worried and helpless that she was about to cry.

“Mom, I didn’t want to, but my boss had an urgent notice. I thought I could come back in a while, but I think I couldn’t make it…”

“Okay, okay. I’ll go back after this game.” Lara hung up the phone.

Willow let out a sigh of relief.

Someone came into the room suddenly. Willow turned around and saw Jasper walking toward her.

She could feel his oppressive aura and she subconsciously backed up, “Mr. Hughes…”

“Give me your phone,” he ordered.

Willow swallowed and explained, “I called my mom. I’m afraid that she would be worried that I hadn’t gone back so late…”

“Don’t make me repeat myself!” Jasper said coldly.

Willow had no choice but to take her phone out from behind her back.

Willow was confused for a second.

She thought he wanted her to block Lara’s number.

After taking the phone, she realized that Xavier’s name was under Lara.

“Okay.” She did as she was told.

Willow didn’t want to make him angry anymore. She was afraid of the consequences.

“Have you saved my number?” Jasper asked suddenly.

Willow was stunned. “I don’t know your number yet, Mr. Hughes,” she said.
