My Four Miraculous Treasures (Willow and Jasper) novel Chapter 251

"Cut the crap and do your job." Jasper gave him the side-eye before decisively walking away.

Xavier stood still. Feeling troubled, he scratched his head.

If he had known, he would not have said things to make Jasper think he had done something wrong and wanted Willow's forgiveness.

Jasper thought he blamed Willow for making a mistake during the meeting and refused to forgive her.

This was truly a huge misunderstanding.

Even so, Jasper had such an imposing manner that Xavier did not even have a chance to explain himself.

Willow was petrified.

After all that trouble, she was back by Jasper's side as his secretary once more!

She put in so much effort to escape from Hughes Corporation, but it was to no avail.

Finally, she made it through the day. It was time to leave.

Willow had just stepped out of the office and was about to wait for a bus when a silver Porsche pulled up in front of her.

Xavier rolled down the window. "Wills, get in the car."

Willow glanced at him but did not get in. "Xavier, people will have things to say. I don't want to cause any misunderstandings."

Xavier's eyes became dark. "What's the matter? Are you worried your boyfriend might get jealous?"

Willow intentionally smiled in a relaxed manner. "That's right. My boyfriend is the jealous type. He doesn't go anywhere near other women, and he expects me to keep a distance from other men too."

Her words were like a stake through Xavier's heart. It hurt a lot.

She still had not forgiven him for what happened five years ago.

Xavier got out of the car. He then opened the door on the other side and forced her into the car, buckling her seatbelt after doing so.

Willow was enraged. "Xavier, what are you doing? Let me go!"

"I'm only sending you home." Xavier turned on the engine.

These memories were all so wonderful. Everything that happened after were changes that Willow could never have predicted.

The pain came very suddenly, and it left her feeling helpless.

Willow braced herself and smiled nonchalantly. "Xavier, you should just call me Willow. I'd feel more comfortable that way."

Xavier was disappointed. No matter how hard he tried to be gentle and admit his mistakes, she would not forgive him.

He stopped talking and drove to her neighborhood.

Willow was worried he would drive in, and she quickly said, "You can stop here."

Xavier relented. He stopped in front of the neighborhood's entrance. Willow retrieved fifty dollars from her purse and left it on her seat. "Here's the fare for the ride. I don't want to owe you anything. Goodbye, Xavier."

She closed the door.

Xavier felt as if someone had driven a stake through his heart.
