My Four Miraculous Treasures (Willow and Jasper) novel Chapter 192

A woman was lying on the bed. Her limbs were covered in plaster, and she had a swollen face.

No one could tell whether the person was a man or a woman.

They could only guess that she was a woman based on her long hair.

Her bed was surrounded by relatives who came to visit her.

Lara was one of those invited. She got the news that Samantha was hospitalized and brought Willow and the kids to see her.

Willow curiously looked at the person in the bed.

She wouldn’t have recognized her if Lara hadn’t told her it was Samantha.

She remembered that she’d only slapped Samantha a few times. It wouldn’t be enough to get her into this terrible state.

“We are here to visit you, Samantha. Poor thing, you have to get well soon before you can get married to your boyfriend,” Lara said.

The other relatives agreed with her while distorting Lara’s words. “That’s right, your boyfriend is rich and loves you so much. But, if your face and body are ruined, he’ll be snatched by others. You have to take care of yourself well.”

Samantha was furious as she listened to their “concern.” Were they here to visit her or to mock her?

“I see. Thieves are certainly hateful, but people who falsely accuse others of being thieves are even more hateful. What goes around comes around, that's how it works,” Lara said with a smile.

Lara’s words had a hidden message. Back then, she had gone to Florence’s house to pick a fight because Willow was arrested by the police for supposedly stealing a jade pendant in Nason Village.

She had discovered that it was Samantha’s plan to get Florence to pretend to pick it up and give it to Willow.

Willow came back and told her that the police had found out that someone framed her.

Lara was not a fool. She knew that it was Samantha who had framed Willow for being a thief.
