Jasper took a deep breath to control himself.
He closed his eyes.
When he was about to fall asleep, Willow suddenly rolled over and rested her hands on him.
Her hands and legs were straddling his body sideways.
He could smell her scent nearer now.
He had been missing that for five years.
Jasper’s throat went dry.
However, he was worried about frightening her when he thought of her wanting to leave just now.
He reached out and removed her hands and legs from his body.
When her scent was further, Jasper breathed out a sigh of relief. He turned his back towards her, thinking it would be easier to fall asleep.
Willow’s scent was still lingering in the air and her sleep-talking now and then made his heart weak.
Jasper almost couldn’t resist sleeping with her if it wasn’t for his concern of frightening her.
Again, his mind flashed back to that night five years ago.
Jasper gritted the back of his teeth and suppressed his urge.
He got up, dressed up, and went to the study.
He might as well work as he couldn’t sleep.

Willow held the phone away from her ear.
Only after Lara had finished yelling, she brought the phone back to her ear. “Mom, I’ll be right back. I’ll explain it to you when I’m home. Bye.”
After saying that, Willow hurriedly hung up the phone. If she didn’t do that fast, she would be scolded by Lara again.
She had forgotten to inform Lara that she was going to Jasper's house for dinner.
She hadn’t expected Cindy to invite her to stay for the night.
Then, so much had happened that she forgot to inform Lara.
When she got back later, she’d tell Lara that she had found the kids’ father. The father would take responsibility, but he didn’t like kids.
She had to discuss this matter with Lara.
