Willow felt her heart lifting as soon as she heard her child's voice.

At that moment, she frantically wiped her tears away and stood upright. She walked over to the bed with a smile on her face. She tried to keep her voice soft. "Tristan, why are you awake so soon?"

Tristan looked at Willow with his bright eyes. He could tell from the red circles around her eyes and the pinkness of her nose that she had cried.

Tristan's heart went out to her.

He reached out with his plump fingers and touched Willow's face, gently caressing her face. "Mommy, did someone bully you?"

Tristan had just woken up. His hand was warm and soft. Willow felt as if her face was being touched by cotton. It was heart-warming and calming.

Willow's heart nearly melted at the sight of Tristan's warm and adorable gaze.

She smiled. "No. I'm Superwoman. Who can possibly bully me?"

Tristan appeared concerned. "Mommy, you're not Superwoman. You can get hurt too. You need someone to protect you. If only we could find Daddy. Daddy could protect you."

Rachel had brought Tristan and Julian to the police station previously. They saw Willow being locked in a metallic cell. Tristan's heart ached terribly, and he nearly burst into tears.

He blamed himself for being too young to protect his mother.

However, Daddy was a grown man. If he could find Daddy, Daddy would be able to protect Mommy.

Ever since then, Tristan had become more determined to find Daddy.

Willow's smile froze when she heard this. The bitterness gradually spread within her.

After pausing for a moment, she sat on the bed and hugged Tristan such that he now sat on her lap. She pulled him closed with her arm.

At night, Samantha used an ice pack on her face. She was thinking of ways to deal with Willow.

Somebody knocked on her door.

She thought her parents had returned, and she opened the door.

However, she saw two tall bodyguards dressed in black standing in front of her door. They seemed fit and well-trained. They definitely were not people one would want to mess with.

Samantha panicked a little. "Who are you looking for?"

"Samantha, Mr. Hughes wants to see you. Come with us," one of them said emotionlessly.

Samantha was thus taken away.
