Maisy’s throat felt dry as she suddenly realized she hadn’t asked the most pressing question.

Annie smiled faintly. “I’ve only met Ms. Sullivan once. I don’t know much about her.”

“I suddenly remembered I have something to attend to, Ms. Williams. I’ll be on my way,” Annie picked up her bag and stood up.
