My Fabulous Girl Boss by Evergreen novel Chapter 491

Chapter 491

Violet and Talia were both furious. The price was obviously too much!

Kayson thought about it and agreed. “Okay.”

Luca narrowed his eyes. “I wasn’t finished. It’s $15,000,000 per month!”

“You might as well rob someone!” Violet cried out in a fury, unable to take it.

Luca scoffed. “Too expensive for you? Don’t rent it then!”

“Luca!” Alan admonished him in disgruntlement. “Uncle Alan, don’t yell at me. You don’t scare me.” Luca was disdainful. Alan looked embarrassed. It was kind of awkward that he was Luca’s elder but the latter treated him this way. Kayson frowned and asked, “Who taught you?” Luca was alarmed but he masked it well. “Taught me what? I call the shots when it comes to the land I own!” “That’s my plot of land!” Alan, who was furious, told Kayson through gritted teeth, “I’ll sell it to you for $15,000!” Luca pulled a retractable stick from his back and pointed it at Alan instantly. “Try selling it, Uncle Alan. Try me!”

People who had lived their whole lives in town cared about their pride and honor the most. No one wanted to become a laughing stock for other people to gossip about. Alan, who felt embarrassed, was burning with rage. “Try hitting me if you dare!”

“F*ck you, you think I won’t do it?”

Thomas snorted and patted Luca’s face. “Luca, do you know what Jairo calls him?”

Luca widened his eyes. Jairo-Don Jairo! “Jairo has to bow down and be good before Mr. Yarde. Think Jairo will come for you personally tomorrow if he finds out how you’ve treated Mr. Yarde?” Luca was fearful. “Captain Beveriy, it’s n-not funny…” “Do I look like I’m joking?” Thomas asked flatly. He ignored Luca and went over to Kayson, greeting him formally. “Mr. Yarde, sorry to keep you waiting!”

Kayson gave him a faint nod. “Nonsense. I want to rent a plot of agricultural land here, but Luca here’s been stopping me. I think there’s some unspoken secret involved.” “Huh? Luca, you don’t have a dead body buried in there, do you?” Thomas asked in alarm. Luca widened his eyes. “No way! Captain Beverly, don’t make things up!” “Then why have you been stopping him?” Thomas demanded. “I…” Luca quivered and said, “Someone’s asked me to keep an eye on that piece of land! I don’t know what is up with it either!”

“Who is it?” Kayson asked. Luca dared not hide a thing. “He said that he’s, uh, the secretary of Breezy Group’s chairman and he paid me $1,500,000 to keep an eye out…”
