Chapter 339 Who Might Be The Suspect?
Byron meant every word he said. He would never marry Wendy.
Hearing this, Melody only felt her temples throbbing violently, she raised her hand and pressed her temples as she looked at her son opposite her. “You came here early in the morning to piss me off, didn’t you?”
Byron did not budge. “If you’re feeling unwell, I can take you to the hospital now. However, if you still want to threaten me to marry Wendy, I can only say that it’s impossible.”
The two sat in silence for a long time.
Melody waved at him angrily. “Hurry up and go.
Don’t linger in front of me.”
Byron nodded noncommittally. Before leaving, he did not forget to say, “I’ve left someone at the door. You can tell them if you need anything.”
After speaking, he strode out of the cafe without waiting for Melody to respond.
“President Lawrence, are you going back to the company?”
The driver asked respectfully when he saw him getting into the car.
Byron paused. Rosalie’s residence flashed in his mind.
T wonder how is she now?
‘Did she mean what she said just now? Is that how she truly feels?’
After thinking for a while, Byron withdrew his thoughts with self-deprecation and told the driver, ” Yes. Go back to the company.”
The car slowly started and drove toward Lawrence Corporation.
“Master, what should we do next? We’ve been investigating for a few days, but we can’t find anything except this, who do you think the suspect might be?” Luther could only find out so little information about the accident. The driver concealed their tracks so perfectly that even the police were helpless. The lead ended right after finding the whereabouts of the vehicle.
He intentionally met with Byron for a face-to-face report and also to seek his opinion and instructions for the next steps on which direction to take the investigation.
After all, if it was a personal grievance, only Master Lawrence would know best.
Byron pondered for a moment, then gave his order. ” Look into our rivals who have had a relationship with Madam Melody, both big and small companies. Leave no stones unturned.”
At that time, only his mother and Wendy were in the parking lot. The car was aiming for his mother, and the driver had come prepared.
He did not think his mother would have offended anyone.
The only possibility was that someone had turned business affairs personal.
Luther agreed immediately and got to work.
