Chapter 326 I Am Just Being Nice
Rosalie returned to her senses at once, she stood in front of the two children protectively and cast a distant smile at Wendy. “There’s no need for you to worry, Miss Fuller. It’s not much of a problem.”
After speaking, she cast a brief glance at Byron and said, “It seems like you’re busy, President Lawrence and Miss Fuller. In that case, I won’t disturb you.”
Before both of them could reply, Rosalie held the children’s hands and tried walking away from them.
She had just taken two steps ahead when Byron’s deep voice rang out from behind her.
“Are Lucian and Nox not feeling well?”
Byron’s gaze swept across the children. He noticed Nox’s pale face and how he was clutching at his stomach with his small hand. His gaze darkened slightly.
Nox turned around. His face was pale as he spoke up angrily, “I just ate something wrong. You’d better accompany this aunt to see the doctor, Mr. Byron. There’s no need for you to bother us! ”
Nox was evidently angered. The hospital corridor was silent as his voice echoed through the hall.
Byron frowned when he sensed Nox’s hostile attitude toward him. He did not know how he had offended him.
They had not seen each other for some time, yet the children were treating him in an even more hostile manner than before.
Rosalie noticed that Nox was speaking rather loudly. She pulled him behind her at once and apologized to the passersby. She then looked at Byron and Wendy. “ Excuse us. Nox isn’t feeling well. That’s why he’s throwing a tantrum. Please don’t mind the child’s temper, President Lawrence and Miss Fuller.”
Rosalie still had lingering fears after the two children nearly got expelled from kindergarten.
After speaking, she raised her gaze to glance at Rosalie. She spoke up in an unintentional tone, “I can recommend a renowned pediatrician to you if you need it. Of course, it’ll be best if Byron is willing to help out. He knows plenty of prominent doctors.”
After speaking, Wendy lowered her gaze and glanced at the cast on her arm.
It was as if she were hinting to Rosalie that Byron had helped her to look for the doctor who was treating her.
Rosalie could tell the implications behind her words. She smiled coldly and said, “It’s alright. I have plenty of connections in the medical field. However, Nox’s condition isn’t that severe. Thank you for your concern, Miss Fuller.”
She had tried to speak to Wendy as courteously as possible. However, Wendy frowned and looked at her in an aggrieved manner. “I’m just being kind. Why must you talk to me like that, Miss Jacobs?”
Rosalie’s eye twitched, she did not want to bother herself with Wendy’s ridiculous antics. She simply pursed her lips without saying anything.
