Chapter 1212 How She Would Feel
It was obvious Byron was trying to avoid him.
Xander had investigated for a whole day, yet he found nothing.
Rosalie’s phone had also been disconnected.
Just as Xander’s worry grew, he received an anonymous message on his phone.
Even though Xander did not know who it was or whether the news was trustworthy, he drove an hour in the dark just to get there.
The incident happened under his nose, and he wanted to ensure Rosalie was all right.
Soon, the elevator stopped on the top floor of the hospital.
Xander walked out of the elevator with a cold expression on his face. He saw Luther the moment he got out.
“Where’s Byron?”
Luther was startled. After greeting Xander politely, he said, “Young Master Xander, Master is in the ward with Miss Jacobs. Miss Jacobs is resting now. I can convey your words to her if you want to say something. Please don’t disturb Miss Jacobs.”
As Luther spoke, he blocked the ward door with his body.
Offended, Xander showed his displeasure on his face and insisted on entering. “Get out of the way. I’ll go in and have a look.”
Luther was in a difficult situation. “This is President Lawrence’s order.
Young Master Xander, please don’t make things difficult for me.”
“Ask Byron to come out and see me, then!” Xander responded coldly.
Luther looked helpless.
Xander lifted his leg and wanted to cross Luther and enter the ward, but Luther stopped him again.
Soon, it turned into a physical confrontation.
Xander suppressed Luther, and Luther could not do anything about it.
However, his master had told him no one was to enter without his permission.
However, the person before him was of high status, and he did not dare to be harsh.
Xander looked at the two men before him and pondered for a moment. He knew he was not these two men’s opponent and stopped rationally.
Luther also gradually let down his guard.
“I wonder how Miss Jacobs would feel if she knows I’ve come to see her
but you’re keeping me out.”
Xander tried to negotiate.
Byron was unmoved. “She won’t find out.”
Xander’s expression changed slightly.
Xander could see Byron was not just saying. He meant it.
“It wouldn’t change anything even if she knows.”
Byron continued sarcastically. “Don’t forget, Young Master Xander, you’re nothing more than a business partner to her. To her, visiting her so late at night is already crossing the borderline of your relationship with her.”
