Richard walked into the house carrying several bags from the grocers in both hands. He woke early, deciding to get the shopping over with before the day could get away from him. After taking care of his needs last night, he pulled the covers up and drifted off blissfully to sleep, waking early feeling refreshed and ready for the day. He was determined to shake the thoughts he was having about Valerie, knowing that there was a line there he shouldn’t cross. He would need to find something else to get his rocks off.
Setting the bags on the kitchen island, he started to pull the steaks and other items out of the bag, his determination set. Of course, that was just before Val entered the kitchen looking for coffee in her skimpy two-piece bathing suit, her ass hanging out the back and her breasts spilling over the top. He stared a moment, eyes wide, before he caught himself and lowered his gaze. “Good morning,” he said, cringing at the crack in his voice. “How did you sleep?”
She passed him on her way to the coffeepot, and he quickly followed her with his gaze, her heart-shaped ass making his cock harden instantly. It was a good thing he faced the island and didn’t need to move right then. Perhaps the pool was a bad idea
“I slept pretty hard,” she said as she pulled a mug out of the cabinet and then moved over to the coffeepot. “I’m actually surprised I slept as long as I did, being used to getting up early for classes.”
“Habits get ingrained,” he said, mentally repeating the ABCs to try and deflate his cock. So much for keeping his thoughts about his son’s girlfriend on the pure level. He glanced over his shoulder as she poured her coffee, staring at her sweet round ass. There was no way anyone could be pure while around that body.
Just as she turned around, he jerked his gaze back to what he was doing, hoping she didn’t catch him staring at her. “Glad to see you decided to take me up on my offer to enjoy the pool,” he said, still staring at the food in front of him. “It’s a beautiful day for it.”
She moved over to the island, setting her cup down on the top as she leaned over, staring at what he was doing. “Seems you’ve already been out in it. You were up early if you managed to get to the store and back.”
Richard did his best not to stare at the way her bikini top popped open with the way she bent over, almost revealing the dark skin around her areola. “I wanted to get the shopping done, so I could hurry up and get to the relaxation part of the day. Nothing worse than having a gorgeous day and spending it in the damn stores.”
Valerie laughed, and the sound made him smile. “I agree with you there,” she said. “I used to hate being stuck in class, while the sun was bright outside.” She shrugged. “But then again, rainy days just made me sleepy. Maybe I just dreaded school.”
Richard laughed as he started to prepare the marinade for the steaks. “Don’t all kids hate school? It’s sort of like people hating going to work. We all want to be doing something else.”
“True,” she said with a slight laugh.
“Where’s that son of mine?” he asked as he dumped the steaks in the bowl with the marinade, flipping them over so they were coated on all sides.
She gave a weak, one-shoulder shrug, her smile sliding into a frown. “He’s still in bed. Seems he woke up around two and started reading some book he found last night, while unpacking his bags. I don’t know when he went back to sleep.”
Richard nodded, hearing the annoyance in her tone, but choosing not to say anything about it. “Well, then he’s going to miss out on a great morning. As soon as I get these steaks in a bag to soak for a while, I’ll whip us up some breakfast. You do eat breakfast, right?”
She chuckled as she pushed herself off the island. “I never skip a meal. How about I fix breakfast, while you finish preparing your meat?”
He turned to her, unable to keep his brows from arching at her choice of words as he smiled at her. Her cheeks colored as she realized how her words sounded, and then he noticed her nipples pushing against her bathing suit, hardening in her embarrassment. Pointing to the fridge, he said, “Make yourself at home. Fix whatever you want.”
He nodded as he popped the last piece of bacon into his mouth. “Agreed. Hopefully, some of your philosophy rubs off on Justin.” He reached for her coffee cup, his already in his hand. “How about I fix us some more coffee, and then we can hit the pool?”
“Good morning,” Justin said from behind them, jerking their gazes in his direction. “Sorry about sleeping in so long. I guess I was up later than I thought.”
Richard nodded, feeling guilty that he wasn’t sorry at all about how long his son slept that morning. It allowed Richard to enjoy Valerie’s company without having to share her. “I was just going in for some refills. Want me to bring you a cup? You missed an awesome breakfast.” He turned and winked at Valerie. “This little lady has some mean cooking skills.”
“Coffee would be great,” Justin said as he gave Valerie a strange look. “I didn’t know you cooked.”
“Not much opportunity on campus,” she replied with a slight shrug. “It was fun. I can whip you up something if you want.”
Justin shook his head. “No. Coffee will be enough. I need to iron my outfit for tomorrow.” Then it seemed as if he just noticed what she was wearing. “Oh, you’re going swimming?” He scratched his head. “Did you mention that last night? I don’t remember.”
Richard shook his head as he turned toward the back door. “Coffee coming right up.” How could his son be so out of it when he had a knock-dead gorgeous woman sitting right there beside him? There is no way that kid came from my loins. Richard stepped inside the house, wanting to truly kick his son in the pants to wake him up.
