Ever since that day three weeks ago training has been put into her day to day life and made into
a new routine. Mornings consists of running and afternoons are mixed with cardio and weight
lift. At first there was only running and cardio but as Lyra made more progress things were
added and recently Lydoran introduced weights. On last night’s run Jaze said it was time to stir
things up again by adding some street fighting into the mix. Lyra has never ever fought anything
in her entire life and got a bit scared. When asking to be trained she never really thought
through what it meant and how much effort she had to put in. Every other day Lydoran adds
new things to the route they're running making it longer and harder since some part is up a hill.
Some days he even alters it completely and drives them to a stone filled path were getting a
good footing is nearly impossible. Those days she can get beyond frustrated but never does she
complain out loud. She uses frustration and anger as her fuel, just like both of them has
suggested. Getting dressed today she's ready for a good run in the woods together with both
of them. It’s rare for both Jaze and Lydoran to have days off at the same time but she always
welcomes days like these. In the afternoon she will have cardio with Lydoran first then weights
with Jaze and in the evening it will be her first-time training fighting. Jaze is going to be her
sparring partner and training dummy while Lydoran instructs and shows how to do it the
correct way to avoid injuries.
"Are you ready for another mile, love?" Lydoran asks the moment she step foot outside.
"You added another mile!" she exclaims in disbelief. Her previous motivation is slowly draining
now that yet another mile has been added. In total they're running three miles. "Can I get one
break in there somewhere?"
"Yeah, about halfway. We're stopping at a lake for some stretching, water and maybe a swim
even. But we run the entire way back." Jaze answers.
Nodding Lyra does some warm up then follows Lydoran. They start with a slow jog where each
fall into their own rhythm. Only thing heard are the muffled sound of footsteps and controlled
breathing. Each in their own state of mind. The path leading to the lake was smooth surface
with easy grip, mostly flat with little roots and stones in the way.
"Preparing your body for the transformation. In order to become like us your body needs to
either be on the brink of death or strong enough to handle the change. When near death your
body is too weak to put up a fight and when trained properly you are strong enough to handle
the venom without collapsing."
"Has anyone died during a change?"
"You want me to answer that now and truthfully or wait until after?" Lydoran looks at her with
a crocked smile when answering her question with one of his own.
"I think I'll wait."
"Clever girl." he teases. "Let's get going."
After shouting at Jaze to hurry up they starts tackling the last miles. This time keeping a slightly
faster pace with a full-on sprint the last few kilometers. Lyras legs turns into noodles and burns
from the harsh treatment. Her entire body is aching but in a good way and come tomorrow she
won’t be able to move properly
