Mr. Williams Wants His Ex-Wife Back novel Chapter 276

It seemed that tomorrow she did need to go to Matthey Group to have a formal talk with Adam as the assistant to the CEO of the Capen Group.

"Buzz..."

The next morning, it was just past five in the morning, and Adam's phone on the coffee table kept vibrating.

He leaned back on the sofa. Ever since Rebecca woke up from her nightmare, he had never slept again. At this moment, the ashtray on the coffee table was full of cigarette butts. Half of his cigarette were lit between his long, white fingertip, glistening in the morning.

Hearing the phone vibrate, he slightly opened his eyes and looked over.

When he saw that it was from the bodyguard of Linda, he frowned slightly, leaned over, and went to get his phone.

Ever since Linda's miscarriage that day, he had never seen her again and had blocked her. Anything related to her was reported to him by the bodyguards who were watching her.

More than a month had passed, and on the grounds that she needed to recover from miscarriage, he had almost put Linda under house arrest in his apartment in Skyline No.1, watched by nannies and bodyguards.

For more than a month, Linda made a scene every once in a while, but Adam took no heed of it as long as everything was under control.

He couldn't figure out why he had slept with Linda in the year when he was 21, and how his relationship with her had developed.

Now he thought everything was so ridiculous.

"What's the matter?" Adam asked directly, his deep voice tinged with fatigue.

"Mr. Williams, Miss Green committed suicide again. She said that if you didn't come to see her, she would die for you." On the other end of the phone, the bodyguard said with a depressed look. He was so fretted because of what Linda had done recently.

"Mr. Williams, something is wrong. Miss Green really cut her pulse and committed suicide, and it's quite serious. Please come over quickly!" the bodyguard said anxiously.

Adam frowned as he listened, but he said calmly, "Okay, I see. Send her to the hospital!"

He knew that Linda wouldn't stop making a scene if he didn't show up.

He didn't know what she would do then.

"Yes, Mr. Williams."

Hanging up the phone, Adam ground his cigarette into the ashtray. Then, he took his coat on the armrest of the sofa, got up, and took a deep look in the direction of Rebecca's bedroom. After that, he strode away.
