But what surprised Rebecca was more than that.
"I don't have any money now, but I can ask my assistant to transfer it to you." As he spoke, Carlos looked at Bill, who was sitting at the table beside him, and said, "Bill."
Hearing that, Bill quickly stopped eating, stood up, and walked to Carlos. He respectfully answered, "Yes."
Rebecca looked at Bill.
It seemed that he was in his thirties. He was dressed in a suit and leather shoes and looked handsome. He gave the first impression of being an absolute elite.
Bill responded to the man so respectfully, which showed that the man was not ordinary.
"Do you have money? Please transfer 367.8 euros to Miss Smith." Looking at Bill, Carlos ordered lightly.
"Yes." Bill took out his phone and looked at Rebecca. He smiled politely and gently. "Miss Smith, is it convenient to add your account? Then I can transfer it to you."
"Sure." Rebecca looked at Bill, nodded, and agreed. She took out her phone and added him to her contacts.
Immediately, the process was successful.
Rebecca heard her phone ranged and saw the money had been transferred. Under Carlos's gaze, she checked the receipt and smiled at Bill. "Thank you."
"You're welcome, Miss Smith."
By the window, Adam looked at Rebecca's back. Then he looked at Carlos, who was still sitting in his seat, changed the subject, and asked his deskmate, "Does anyone know that gentleman?"
To be honest, looking at Carlos, Adam had a feeling of deja vu, but he just couldn't remember where he had met.
When the others at the table heard Adam ask, they followed his line of sight and looked at Carlos.
He had an extraordinary demeanor and exuded the charm of a mature and introverted man.
However, they all didn't know him.
Perhaps, Carlos noticed that Adam and the others were looking at him. He picked up the coffee cup and turned around. His gaze met theirs, but he only looked at Adam. He nodded slightly and saluted him from afar. Then he took a sip of the coffee, put it down, and left.
