Adam did not move, nor would he push her away. He let her lean on him, but he didn't react at all.
Soon, the elevator reached the top floor. Linda held Adam's arm. They walked out of the elevator and entered the apartment.
It was dark in the house. There was only light shining in from the window.
"Didn't Rebecca come back? Why didn't she turn on the lights? Did she..."
"Take a rest. I'll take a shower." Adam interrupted her. Then, he went through the living room and went upstairs.
He knew that Rebecca must be in her room.
"Adam..." Linda chased after him, but Adam ignored her and continued to stride upstairs.
As Linda chased after Adam, she glanced at Rebecca's room. When Linda saw the faint light coming from the crack in Rebecca's room, she immediately stopped.
Linda looked upstairs. Adam entered the bedroom and shut the bathroom door with a bang. She clenched her teeth tightly, and a strong resentment appeared in her eyes.
Now, almost everyone knew that Rebecca was the daughter-in-law of the Williams family, and she was Adam's wife. Adam was still gentle and considerate to Linda, but Linda could no longer see the affection and indulgence in his eyes. She could no longer see a glimpse of joy in his eyes, she was not stupid.
She knew well why Adam had changed.
Because of Rebecca!
Adam used to hate Rebecca. Now, he didn't seem to hate Rebecca at all. He even began to like her.
Linda believed that when she wasn't with Adam, Rebecca must use some tricks to seduce him.
Perhaps, Rebecca had slept with Adam when they stayed in Williams' house, so Adam became unwilling to sleep with Linda.
Thinking of the intimate images of Adam hugging Rebecca, Linda trembled with anger.
Just then, Rebecca's door opened.
When Rebecca turned around, Linda suddenly came over and blocked her way.
"Rebecca, don't act like you're the true Mrs. Williams. You don't deserve it. Adam is mine. He's the father of the child in my belly. In Adam's eyes, you are just a senior servant that he has bought. The reason why Adam doesn't divorce you and marry me now is that it's the right time yet." Angrily and hatefully, Linda ground out the words. She squinted at Rebecca and warned her in a low voice.
Rebecca looked at Linda's delicate and beautiful face, which almost twisted at this moment. She moved up her lips slightly and said calmly, "Miss Green, do you have anything else to say? If not, I'll go back to my room."
"Rebecca, you..."
Linda was so angry that her face turned purple and almost speechless, and Rebecca decided to stop talking to her. She walked straight past Linda to her room.
"Ouch..."
Rebecca had only taken a few steps when a painful groan sounded behind her.
Rebecca was confused and stopped. She turned around to look at Linda.
