Rebecca didn't know what would Adam talk about with the Capens, and she didn't care. So after chattering, she began to do her own things. She went upstairs with Manda and helped her with her homework in the small living room.
Rebecca taught Manda mathematics first.
At first, Rebecca didn't teach Manda anything directly but asked her what she didn't understand and what problems she had encountered in the past week.
Manda said one by one, and Rebecca wrote it down accordingly, and then used the easiest way to help Manda understand thoroughly. After that, Rebecca began to explain other knowledge to her.
Rebecca and Manda had been there for more than ten minutes. When Rebecca was explaining a difficult problem to Manda, a tall and straight figure appeared at the door, with his deep eyes fixed on Rebecca.
Rebecca noticed that, looked up, and met Adam's eyes.
"Miss Smith, why did you marry Mr. Williams? Last time in the restaurant, he and another woman humiliated you. He said he couldn't eat when you were there. Have you forgotten?" Seeing Rebecca being distracted, Manda followed Rebecca's sight and looked over. When she saw Adam standing at the door, Manda immediately smiled in disdain.
Rebecca looked back at the little girl beside her and smiled. "I haven't. Okay, let's continue!"
"Yes." Manda nodded. They both ignored Adam at the door and continued their work.
They were quiet and Rebecca gave a wonderful explanation. Manda soon put Adam and Justin aside and listened attentively to Rebecca.|
When a person devoted himself to doing something, time always seemed to pass quickly. Soon an hour passed. Rebecca had done explaining, but Manda seemed not to be satisfied and asked Rebecca a few more questions. Rebecca smiled and answered them one by one.
After listening, Manda nodded understandingly and pulled Rebecca's arm. "Miss Smith, I think I'll be on the top three in my class for the next examination."
Rebecca smiled. "So confident?"
