Mr. Norman, She's Out of Your League Now novel Chapter 63

Naomi immediately understood what was happening. Brian really knew Amber. Her face turned pale with fear. She had definitely run into a wall this time.

If Brian was protecting Amber, her background had to be significant. How could Naomi's family possibly compare to Amber's? Naomi's face turned ashen in an instant. But even though she regretted it now, it was too late.

Brian clearly didn't want to waste any more time with her. He said directly, "If you insist that she hit your daughter, go get her injury checked. If your daughter is truly injured, I'll provide any compensation needed.

"But if this is just slander on your part, I'll have Norman Group's lawyers take action. Slandering a five-year-old girl and threatening to have her expelled from kindergarten—your actions are already criminal."

Naomi was horrified. Norman Group's lawyers were notorious for being terrifying. It was said that their legal team had never lost a case, and anyone who dared cross them would be in serious trouble. There was no way she could win if she went up against Norman Group in court.

Naomi deeply regretted not recognizing Amber's identity sooner.

But now, there was no time to think about that. She could only beg Brian for forgiveness. "Mr. Norman, please calm down. I've made a mountain out of a molehill. I didn't realize this little girl was connected to your family.

"It's my fault. I'm really sorry. This is my daughter's mistake. I've been petty. Please don't hold it against me."

Brian's expression remained unchanged as he didn't even look at her. He said, "So, you're admitting that it was your daughter who acted first?"

Naomi immediately nodded and replied, "Y-Yes..."

Brian's tone turned icy. "Since you know your daughter was the one who started it, how dare you turn things around and falsely accuse someone? You were relying on the fact that Amber might not have any powerful connections, weren't you?"

Naomi trembled, too scared to say a word.

He snorted coldly. "Since you like to use your influence, I want you and your daughter to apologize to Amber. That's not too much to ask for, is it?"

"It's not too much. We should've done it from the start," Naomi quickly agreed.

She just wanted to put an end to this. She immediately apologized to Amber, "I'm sorry, little one. It was my mistake. I shouldn't have bullied you. I hope you can forgive me."

Charlotte had just arrived at the kindergarten when Naomi left.

The research institute was far from here, and she had been delayed by a car accident that caused a traffic jam, so she arrived late. She was sweating with anxiety, fearing that her precious daughter might have been bullied.

Upon arriving, she went straight to the teacher's office. At this point, Brian was already dealing with Stella. She had mishandled the situation as well, and now, he was addressing it.

After the matter was resolved, he asked Amber, "Are you sure that little girl didn't hurt you? Do you need to go to the hospital?"

Amber shook her head and said, "No need. She didn't even get a chance to hurt me."

Hearing her confident tone, Brian didn't press further. "That's good."

Amber nodded but couldn't help but stare at him.
