After helping Brian to the master bedroom upstairs, Charlotte glanced around the room. The decor was similar to downstairs, with a minimalist gray-and-white style that perfectly suited his personality.

As soon as they entered, Kayden eagerly spoke up. "I'll go run some hot water for Daddy!"

"I'll go with you." Charlotte followed him in as she felt uneasy.

At that moment, all the lights suddenly went out, and the room was plunged into darkness. Charlotte gasped. "What happened? Why did the lights turn off?"

The plan was going smoothly! Kayden was delighted by the blackout, but he pretended to be surprised and said, "I don't know. Maybe it's a power outage?"

Charlotte found it odd. This was an upscale villa area with advanced facilities and backup power, so how could there be a power outage?

Brian, who couldn't see, had no idea what was going on and asked, "What happened? What's going on?"

"Daddy, I think the power went out!" Kayden quickly responded, then turned to Charlotte. "Ma'am, wait here for a moment. I'll go ask Arlo and the others what's going on!"

"Wait, don't go! It's so dark. What if you fall?" Charlotte quickly stopped him.

But Kayden was prepared. He pulled out his smartwatch and said, "It's fine, this will light the way!" He ran off without waiting for her to reply.

He moved so fast that Charlotte couldn't stop him. Feeling helpless, she had no choice but to fumble her way out of the bathroom.

Once she got to the room, she relied on her faint memory and started heading toward the couch.

Brian felt like he was in serious trouble. After the previous incidents of her getting too close and touching his thigh, now, she even unbuckled his belt…
