Mr. Norman, She's Out of Your League Now novel Chapter 27

Charlotte said those words without breaking a sweat.

But the air in the room seemed to have frozen.

"What?" Henry's jaw dropped in shock. "Take his clothes off? Why… Why does he need to do that?"

She glanced at him and replied, "Isn't it obvious that it's for treatment purposes? Did you get all the herbs I asked for?"

He instantly made sense of her words and nodded quickly. "I did. They're in the box."

Charlotte walked over to take a look. Inside the box were numerous valuable herbs.

Out of caution and a sense of obligation to her patient, she examined each one, ensuring the quality of each herb.

After inspecting, she found there were no issues with them. In fact, they were better than she had expected.

With that, she closed the box and turned around. Brian was still in his clothes while Henry stood beside him, looking completely at loss.

Charlotte urged, "What are you waiting for? Undress him."

Henry looked extremely uneasy as he asked, "Do you mean take off his clothes only or everything?"

Hearing this, Charlotte was speechless.

It seemed like Henry wasn't at all smart.

After a moment of silence, she replied patiently, "Just take off his clothes. There's no need to undress him fully. After that, help him lie down on the bed."

"Alright!" Henry nodded and stretched out to help unbutton Brian's shirt.

But before he could touch him, Brian pushed his hand away. "I'll do it myself."

With that, he unbuttoned his shirt slowly and meticulously. Even with such a simple act, he looked elegant and graceful.

Charlotte's gaze fell on his hands as he undid the buttons.

Henry sneaked a glance at Charlotte to see her reaction. Although her mask covered half of her face, the strange look in her eyes was hard to miss.

Fearing she might misunderstand the situation, he quickly explained, "Dr. Mandy, don't get the wrong idea. Mr. Norman is well-disciplined. This must've been an accident!"

Meanwhile, Brian heard that and realized what was going on.

He didn't explain anything and simply lay back down on the hospital bed in silence.

Kayden, standing nearby, also jumped in to defend his father's reputation. "Daddy said a little fox bit him! Dr. Mandy, my daddy isn't the kind of man to mess around. There must be some misunderstanding because I normally keep a close eye on him!"

Brian was left speechless upon hearing this.

He believed it was unnecessary to clear his name.

At first, he didn't feel much about it. But with the way the two of them continued to defend him, he began feeling awkward.

Charlotte, on the other hand, was bewildered by their explanation.
