Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted (Stella and Keegan) novel Chapter 1707

“I don’t know. It’s just my gut feeling,” Felicity said. “He fell into the water but didn’t hurt his head at all. How could he suddenly lose his memories? And, he remembers every other thing and people, except you. It’s just too surreal.”

Stella fell silent for a while and said, “But, why would he do this? I don’t understand.”

Felicity frowned, pondered to herself, and slapped her forehead. “I figured it out!”

Stella looked at her.

Felicity then continued, “Think about it. Keegan was severely injured, and I’m sure that he’s unable to take care of himself. That way, that pretentious witch can easily control him. He must’ve threatened Keegan and forced him to break up with you. Otherwise, she wouldn’t save him. In order to survive, Keegan would have no choice but to play along with her and pretend not to remember you.”

Stella was speechless.

“Keegan lost his memories; he didn’t lose his mind. It won’t be that easy for Jaylene to control him.”

Felicity scratched her head. “Then, what’s the reason for him to pretend?”

Stella fell silent for a while and suddenly said, “I have a way to find out if he’s really pretending or not.”

Felicity’s eyes lit up. “What is it?”

Stella looked at the small bottle of complimentary wine that the winery manager gave them when they made their purchase earlier, and she smirked. “Let’s wait until he’s recovered first.” 1 Felicity did not know what she was planning, but she just somewhat trusted her.

“Stella, I admire you for having such a good mindset. If Stinky Cucumber disappeared for a month, came back with another woman, and kept ignoring me, I would do everything in my power to ruin their relationship without a doubt.”

■ Stella replied softly, “I’d rather have him not remember me than never come back. Jaylene may have other motives, but she brought him back alive, after all.”

When Vermont came home and saw the table filled with dishes, he was shocked.

The table was full of delicious food, and his loved one was still busy cooking in the kitchen. To him, there was nothing merrier than that in life.

He could not stop himself from sneaking into the kitchen and hugging Felicity from behind. Then, he said in a hoarse voice, “Miss Bandit, I know you’re the best to me. I miss you so much.”

These days, although he did not dare to stick close to Felicity openly, he would secretly visit her from time to time.

Knowing that she had moved out of 902, he almost followed her. Fortunately, she moved to the unit next door. Although they did not live together, they were still close to each other.

Vermont thought that he was clever for moving out of his house on his own initiative back then.
