“What’s with that face?” Stella asked.
Keegan tried to be honest. “You look nice, but with that outfit, you don’t seem like a young guest invited to a wedding.”
Stella thought to herself, ‘He’s indirectly telling me that I look old.’
“Still got time, do you want to change into something else?” Keegan asked her.
“No need,” Stella sprayed some hairspray, then gently ran her fingers through her hair, adjusting it in front of the mirror. She said lightly, “This is the look I want.”
After all, she wanted to give Albert and Hylda a “surprise”‘ at their wedding.
It was Albert’s second marriage, and he had invited almost half of the social elites in Rivera.
He wouldn’t have been able to invite all those people on his own. But he was cunning. He had someone create the invitation and posted it on social media. When everyone saw that Keegan and Vermont were coming, they decided to attend as well.
After all, Keegan was now an eligible bachelor in Rivera. There were too many people eager to introduce him to potential partners. Just in the past few days, he had
received six or seven messages from wealthy and influential women that his clients and friends had recommended.
Dahlia had been expelled from the Kane family, and Keegan emerged as the most promising candidate to become the Chairman of the Vinci Rivera Group. Naturally, his prospective wife would hold the position of the matriarch in the Kane family. It was a highly sought-after position for any woman. After all, even someone like Albert had managed to gain substantial advantages by associating himself with the Kane family.
When Stella and Keegan arrived, the parking lot was almost full.
Stella touched up her makeup in front of the mirror and turned to Keegan. “Til go in first, and you can join later.”
Keegan frowned. “Why?”
Keegan’s obsession with earning points left Stella quite speechless. ‘We’ve already slept together, and he’s still fixated on earning points. What a silly guy.’
She leaned in close to Keegan’s ear and whispered, “Do you want to earn points or follow the doctor’s advice?”
Keegan hesitated. Just when Stella thought he would choose “follow the doctor’s advice,” Keegan resolutely answered, “Points.”
She raised her head, looking serious. “What?! Are you sure?”
Keegan glanced at her and said calmly, “I can still distinguish between temporary satisfaction and lasting fulfillment.”
Stella had nothing to say. After getting out of the car, she headed straight to the wedding venue.
