“And on top of everything else, Jimmy also let it slip that she hasn’t finalized her divorce yet…”
“Wait a second–if she’s technically still married, then what’s going on between her and Johnny? Is she hooking up with Johnny while her divorce paperwork’s still pending? Messing around with Johnny’s already bad enough, but she’s also stringing Jimmy along, and she even went after Julia’s boyfriend. Jesus Christ, she’s got zero self–restraint, and her nerve’s off the charts!”
Rex’s jaw tightened into a sharp, grim line, his gaze locking firmly on Maggie across the crowded reception hall as he spoke in a frigid, unyielding tone. “Her recklessness is only the tip of the iceberg; there’s far more beneath the surface.”
Yve followed Rex’s line of sight toward Maggie, and even without moving closer to overhear her conversation, he could easily pick up on the unmasked admiration and clear fondness radiating off Dr. Mercer toward her.
Beyond Dr. Mercer, every other leading authority figure within the artificial intelligence industry held unreserved respect for Maggie’s extraordinary technical aptitude and groundbreaking research outputs.
Maggie was merely an undergraduate student, yet she’d effortlessly outshone Julia–a PhD graduate who’d completed
all her advanced studies overseas.
In just a single year or two, she’d rocketed to stardom, emerging as one of the most dazzling rising talents in the entire Al research sphere.
Compared to Maggie’s meteoric rise, Julia’s academic presence had practically faded into complete obscurity, with Maggie’s professional reputation now edging dangerously close to overtaking even Johnny, who’d built his career as a well–established industry innovator years earlier.
Watching Maggie hold court like a veteran heavyweight of the Al research community. Yves felt a cold prickle of unease creep up his spine with every passing second.
It hit him hard that he’d drastically underestimated the woman standing across the room.
Maggie wasn’t just wildly reckless in her personal choices; her ambition burned brighter than anyone he’d ever crossed paths with.
He swept his gaze back and forth between Maggie and Julia, the stark divide between them impossible to ignore.
Within both academic circles and the corporate tech sector, Maggie earned widespread unnimons neclaim. Renowned scholars and bigh–powered CEOs alike stepped forward imprompted to strike up conversations with her. eager to exchange Ideas and forge professional connections.
As tor Julia? Despite holding more advanced academic credentials and boasting objectively stronger ludicel Jostreletions than Maggie, farely a stugle person bothered to approach her or spare har a word.
Chapter 704
The gap separating their current standing was staggering, plain for every attendee at the event to witness.
Yves couldn’t hold back his quiet commentary, his tone laced with genuine sympathy for Julia’s predicament.
“Maggie basically climbed the ladder straight over Julia’s shoulders to grab all this prestige and influence, and the disparity between their public profiles is this massive now.

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
