Chapter 657: Out of Her League
Chapter 657: Out of Her League
But the thing was, Franklin had other business to get to. Once lunch was over, he arranged for his driver to take Julia and Yale back, then headed off on his own.
In the car, Yale turned to Julia. “Is Maggie still giving you a hard time?”
They’d talked at the AI conference a few days back, but it had been wall-to-wall people the whole time, no chance for a real conversation. Now was as good an opening as any.
Julia’s expression shifted, something darker moving through her eyes. “Anything outside of Cole, she’s not in a position to touch me.”
Yale heard that and figured Julia just had no patience for Maggie’s games. He figured she saw it the way he used to see it. sure, Maggie had clawed her way up through some dirty moves, but strip away Cole, strip away Johnny, and she was nothing. Julia simply didn’t see her as a real threat.
But something in Yale’s chest dropped.
The fact that Julia wasn’t taking Maggie seriously meant… she probably had no idea about Maggie and Franklin.
She’d underestimated just how far Maggie would Never imagined she’d actually go after Franklin too.
Julia caught the look on his face, the words he couldn’t quite get out, and frowned. “What is it?”
Yale stopped himself. Hesitated.
herself. I’m starting to think shohen
found his voice. “Nothing. It’s just… every time I see her lately, she’s looking real pleased with even more shameless we gave her credit for. I’m worried she’ll find some new way to come at
you.”
Back at Wilson Group.
Around afternoon tea time, the Wilson Group engineers working with HJ Tech, along with HJ Tech’s own staff who were on-site, all drifted over to where Maggie was and gathered around while she walked them through some problems they’d been stuck on.
Yale didn’t go.
When afternoon tea was wrapping up, the HJ Tech employees came back practically singing her praises.
୮
“We’d barely even explained the situation and Ms. Miller already saw exactly what we were running into. No wonder she’s with a genius like Mr. Gray, she’s on a whole other level! I’ve never met anyone like her in my life! I didn’t know the gap between people could actually be that wide!”
“Right? Mr. Gray and Ms. Miller, a perfect match, honestly. Two of a kind.”
Then one of them glanced over at Yale, who hadn’t looked up from his screen. “Yale, you really missed out not going over there!”
“Seriously!”
Yale’s eyes went flat with contempt. Watching his own coworkers fall for Maggie’s act, the hand on his mouse tightened, a vein standing out across his knuckles. But he said nothing.
Mr. CEO, Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
Chapter 657: Out of Her League
After several straight days of grinding. Friday night Maggie finally made it home and got a decent night’s rest. First thing Saturday morning, Isabella called, she wanted to go out and hang out with her today.
Maggie paused. “Is your dad not free?”
From the other end of the line, Isabella said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world: “Dad’s coming with us.”
Then, before Maggie could get a word in, Isabella added: “Oh, but Dad has something else to do in the afternoon, so he can only stay through lunch.”

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
