Chapter 370
There was no telling when the old lady would wake up
Maggie stayed at the hospital with the others for over an hour. When the old lady still showed no signs of waking, Stella said calmly.
“You should head back for now. If she wakes up or there’s any news, I’ll let you know.”
Maggie looked at the old lady lying unconscious on the hospital bed, a respirator over her face. Then she glanced at her phone and replied,
“It’s still early. I’d like to wait a bit longer.”
Stella didn’t argue with her.
York and Maria also stayed
Maggie waited until around 11 p.m. When the doctor said the old lady’s condition had stabilized somewhat–but she wouldn’t be waking up any time soon–Maggie finally left to rest
Over an hour after Maggie left, Franklin and labella arrived at the hospital
Franklin had already heard that Maggie had come by to see the old lady.
He and Stella chose to stay at the hospital while the burley was instructed to take Isabella back to rest.
For Isabells, this was the first time in her memory that she had confronted something as serious as life and death.
Staring at the old lady lying on the bed, Isabella hugged Franklin’s waist and buried her face into his chest, her eyes rimmed red in fear.
“I don’t want to go back. I want to see Mammy”
Franklin lifted her one has lage and checked the inser
“It’s almost I am now. I don’t know of Mommy’s already asleep. We should ask first.”
“Oh… then Fil call her-
“Daddy will do it”
“Okay.”
Franklin picked up his phone and sent Maggie a message:
[Are you asleep? Isabella and I are at the hospital. I’m planning to stay here tonight with Grandma, Isabella found out about her condition and is really scared. She wants to come to you. Is that okay?]
Maggie hadn’t gone to bed yet. Though it was late, she was still restless, worried about the old lady.
When she was around Isabella’s age, her grandfather had also been in a critical accident.
So when she saw the message, she fully understood Isabella’s fear and helplessness.

Chapter 370
Just as Maggie was about to put her phone down and head downstairs for a glass of water, another message came through
[Can we postpone the divorce for a few days?)
Maggie understood he meant: wait until the old lady’s condition stabilized before moving forward.
She hesitated a moment, then replied:
[Okay]
Franklin:
[Thank you.]
This time, Maggie didn’t respond.
About half an hour later, Isabella arrived.
After she bathed and got into bed, Maggie pulled her gently into her arms, brushing a hand over her little cheek
“Sleep.”
This was actually the first time Maggie had held her so tenderly since bringing up the divorce with Franklin.
Curled up in Maggie’s arms, Isabella finally felt at ease.
After a full day of travel and stress with Franklin, she was already exhausted. Before long, she drifted off, clinging to Maggie
The next morning, the old lady still hadn’t woken up.
After checking in with the butler, Maggie and the Madam Miller brought Isabella back to the hospital to visit the old lady.
Franklin was clearly busy. When they arrived–just past eight in the morning he was already discussing work with Jake, with several documents spread out in front of him.
When he saw them, he stopped and got up to greet them.
“You’re here?”
Maggie responded with a simple, indifferent, “Mm.”
Franklin then turned to the Madam Miller,
“Ma’am.”
The Madam only gave a cold nod in return before heading in to see the old lady
Maggie had a meeting that morning, so after checking on the old lady, she planned to return to work.
But Isabella didn’t want her to leave. Hugging her tightly, she said,
“Mommy, I want to be with you. Can I go to work with you?”

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
