Chapter 367
After finishing her work and leaving the base, Maggie checked her phone and saw that Franklin only replied to her message more than an hour after she had left for the base.
In response to the message she sent him before going to the base, he simply replied with a “Okay.”
Maybe because he had broken his promise before, besides that “Okay,” he hadn’t called her once in the past half month.
On the other hand, Isabella had called her four or five times during those days.
Seeing this, Maggie sent Franklin a simple message: “I’m done with my work. I’m free on Monday.”
After sending it, Franklin didn’t reply for quite a while, so she didn’t wait for a response.
As for the missed calls from Isabella… she figured Isabella just missed her and didn’t have anything urgent, so she didn’t return the calls.
Maggie hadn’t visited Sally at the hospital for nearly half a month.
After taking a shower and having breakfast, she went to the hospital with her family to visit Sally.
Sally’s organ failure condition was gradually improving. Maggie gratefully said, “Mr. Quincy, thank you.”
Mr. Quincy patted her shoulder and said, “You’re welcome. It’s what I should do.”
After visiting Sally, Maggie and Mrs. Miller took the elevator downstairs. Just as they stepped out, they saw Mrs.
Green, Julia, and Sophia.
Seeing them, Maggie and Mrs. Miller paused briefly, then continued out with normal expressions.
However, Mrs. Green and Sophia looked displeased.
Ever since Franklin proposed divorcing Maggie, it was said Maggie had been cooperating quite well.
Due to Franklin’s busy schedule, the date to get the divorce certificate had already been postponed by more than half a month. They had thought that after Franklin finished his work, they could get the divorce certificate smoothly last Monday.
Unexpectedly, Maggie started “disappearing” – not going to work and not answering calls.
This attitude clearly showed she was deliberately hiding, aiming to avoid the 30–day reconsideration period and dragging Franklin along without divorcing him.

Chapter 367
Actually, at first they didn’t know Maggie was playing hide and seek.
They found out about it after asking around.
Thinking this, Sophia gave Maggie a sharp glare.
Mrs. Green’s gaze toward Maggie was also cold.
Maggie noticed and shot back a cold glare.
Mrs. Green and Sophia didn’t expect Maggie to dare glare back. Mrs. Green’s face darkened, and before she could react, Sophia immediately snapped, “You-”
Julia interrupted, “Sophia.”
Though her tone was calm, Sophia knew she didn’t want her to cause trouble. After all, this was a public place.
Moreover, Maggie and Franklin weren’t officially divorced yet.
If the matter escalated, they might not come out on top.
Sophia looked frustrated but held back. Thinking Franklin would definitely finalize the divorce quickly after finishing his work, even if Maggie wanted to delay, she couldn’t do so for long. They would end up divorced anyway, so her mood lightened a little.
However, thinking about Franklin bringing that damn kid on this business trip and saying he wanted to spend a few days abroad with her, probably wouldn’t be back within a day or two, her expression darkened again.
She couldn’t help but pouted to Julia, “Sis, why don’t you ask your husband to come back early? He wants to take that damn kid out to play anyway, so he might as well get the divorce certificate first and then go.”
Julia was calm and said, “Don’t worry about that. Tingshen knows how to handle it.”
On the other side,
After Maggie got into the car, Franklin finally replied to her message: “Got it. I’ll be back tomorrow.”

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
