Franklin responded almost instantly:

Ever since they had invited Mr. Quincy to treat Sally, for the sake of easier follow–up checkups by Academician

Hardin, they had moved him out of the rehab facility and into a VIP ward at the city hospital.

The next morning, Maggie and Madam Miller headed to the hospital to visit Sally.

Although he still didn’t look very well, after several weeks of treatment, he no longer appeared as gaunt and hollow as he had half a month ago.

However, he still couldn’t handle seeing familiar faces–just a glimpse of someone he recognized was enough to trigger breakdown.

After their visit, when Mr. Quincy exited the ward, Maggie and Madam Miller took the chance to ask about his

current condition.

They had only just begun their conversation when several figures appeared at the other end of the hallway: Tracy, Janice, and Logan.

Maggie’s expression shifted slightly.

What are they doing here?

Madam Miller, too, gripped Maggie’s hand tighter at the sight of them.

Tracy’s eyes widened. Lowering her voice, she whispered, “that… Mr. Quincy? What’s going on with the Miller family that they could actually get her to treat someone?”

Her words immediately made them all think of Sally.

But then again–he had a mental condition, and Mr. Quincy wasn’t a psychiatrist. So maybe it wasn’t for him?

Or maybe his physical health had taken a turn?

It had been a long time since Mr. Quincy had made any public appearances.

Now suddenly running into her here, they naturally wanted to strike up a conversation.

But unfortunately, they had no real ties to her–no excuse to speak.

Mr. Quincy, on the other hand, had clearly noticed the tension in Maggie and Madam Miller’s expressions upon

seeing Logan’s group.

She glanced in their direction, but her gaze was cool. Without saying anything, she turned back to Maggie and Madam Miller. “His condition is progressing in a positive direction. You don’t need to be overly worried.”

Both women were visibly moved. Grasping her hand tightly, they thanked her, “Thank you, Mr. Quincy. You’ve worked so hard for him these past few weeks.”

Mr. Quincy’s manner was kind and composed. She patted Maggie’s hand. “It’s my duty.”

While they spoke, Logan and the others had already passed them and were now two or three doors down–entering one of the other VIP rooms.

Mr. Quincy had other appointments to get to. After a few words to her team, she turned and left.

Maggie and Madam Miller quietly watched her leave, then turned their eyes toward the room down the hall.

Why were the Brown and Green families here in the VIP wing?

Could it be that someone from their side had fallen ill too?

If that was the case, and they ended up needing to come here frequently… there was a real risk of Sally running into them one day.

Just the thought made Maggie tense. She could sense Madam Miller was thinking the exact same thing.

She couldn’t help but turn to a nearby doctor and ask, “Doctor, um… what’s going on with the patient in Room
