Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 712

Rowan couldn't win an argument with Josefina, leaving him fuming with frustration.

He glared at her, "Josefina, this is all your doing, isn't it? Setting up this whole charade just to tear my family apart."

"Mr. Oliver, your imagination really is something else," Josefina retorted with a dismissive wave.

Rowan's anger flared. "Can you or can you not fix Sydney's leg? Name your price, I'll pay whatever it takes."

Josefina threw out an astronomical figure, "How about five billion?"

Rowan slammed his hand on the table, exasperated, "Josefina!"

"Mr. Oliver, I'm right here. No need to shout; we're in public, after all."

Rowan was speechless with rage.

In just a few minutes, the anger had him clutching his chest, his heart pounding as if he was about to have a heart attack.

Josefina feigned innocence, exaggerating her surprise, "Mr. Oliver, didn't you say to name any price?"

Too angry to stay, Rowan stood up and stormed out.

Josefina watched him leave, clicking her tongue in disapproval.

She carefully collected the glass Rowan had used, then texted Luke on her phone, "Destroy the surveillance footage."

"Got it." Luke got busy.

...

Rowan stormed back home, fuming.

She noticed Rowan's temper had been getting worse.

Especially now, he seemed ready to explode.

After calming down a bit, Rowan asked, "Where's Dominic? I need to ask him if he knew Josefina might not be able to fix your leg. This whole mess is his fault."

Sydney replied calmly, "Dominic's out working, not home. At this point, no matter what we say, Josefina insists she's right. And Rowan, your dad's here. He might not listen to us, right?"

Rowan furrowed his brow, "Has Josefina bewitched my dad? He's taking her side in everything!"

"Who knows? Dad's set on having Josefina as a granddaughter-in-law, and nobody can tell him otherwise. Rowan, let's just drop it. Arguing further might only damage your relationship with him."

Rowan fell silent, unwilling to continue the discussion.
