"Josefina, fancy meeting you here at the University of Melbourne!"
Josefina chuckled, "I should be the one saying that. Had no idea you were here too."
"Josefina, I’m actually a sophomore here, so I guess that makes me your senior."
"Small world," Josefina said with a grin.
Shay then asked, "I heard you’re into medicine? We’ve got this medical society. Wanna join? It could help you get to know the University of Melbourne better, and we could show you around."
"Thanks, but no thanks. Not really looking to join any clubs right now. Gotta run though," Josefina said as she continued on her way.
Shay turned and watched Josefina walk away, a challenging look in her eyes.
At that moment, two girls rushed over, flanking Shay on both sides.
"Shay, long time no see. You've gotten even more gorgeous, if that’s possible."
The other girl chimed in, eager to compliment Shay too, "Shay, you've always been stunning, and now you're looking even better."
"Is that girl related to you, Shay?" one of them asked.
After all, Josefina's elegance was undeniable, and standing next to Shay, she certainly held her own.
Shay smirked, "No relation. It's pretty impressive she managed to afford tuition at the University of Melbourne. I was just offering her a bit of encouragement."
"Shay, you're just too kind. You’re not helping her with her tuition, are you?"
"Shay’s always had a big heart."
Shay just smiled, neither confirming nor denying, letting them think what they wanted without a word.
And so, a misunderstanding was born.
