Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 605

Josie’s cheeks flamed with a mix of shyness and embarrassment as she heard Oliver's voice drift through the door.

"Josie, your clothes are on the couch. They're all clean and dry. I'll be downstairs, waiting for you. Let's grab some dinner together."

Once Oliver left, Josie listened carefully for the sound of the door closing behind him. She peeked out to make sure she was alone and that the curtains were tightly shut. Wrapping herself in the blanket, she grabbed her clothes from the couch, including her underwear.

In the bathroom, Josie found the white sundress she had bought, along with underwear that fit her perfectly. Holding the underwear, she wished she could disappear from the sheer embarrassment.

Shaking off her thoughts, she quickly dressed and tied her hair into a simple ponytail. Noticing a toothbrush, cup, and face towel on the washbasin, Josie freshened up before heading downstairs.

...

Still fuming, Josie stormed forward until Oliver caught up with her. He scooped her up into his arms, settling on the couch, holding her tight.

"Oliver, let me go," Josie demanded, her eyes darting around nervously.

"Don't worry, everyone’s gone. It's just us."

Despite Oliver’s reassurances, Josie struggled to break free. "You did this on purpose, Oliver!"

"Okay, it's all my fault. Blame me. Just calm down, will you?"

Holding her closer, he whispered in her ear, "Josie, I swear I didn’t see anything. If it makes you feel better, I could strip down for you. How about that?"

Josie was stunned.

"What the heck, Oliver!"
