Livia's words drifted over to Oliver as well.
"Josie, mind if I come find you?"
Josefina couldn't help but laugh as she shared her location with Livia. With a playful tone, Livia teased, "Josie, Oliver's really got a soft spot for you, huh?"
"How would you know? You've barely met him," Josefina retorted.
"Finley filled me in. He said Oliver's completely smitten. Never seen him fall so hard for anyone," Livia replied.
"Finley's quite the chatterbox, isn't he?" Josefina noted.
Livia burst out laughing. It was one of those joy-filled days.
...
When Oliver saw Josefina, he gently took her hand in his.
"Oliver, aren't you supposed to be at work today? I've only got half the day off; I need to head back to the office this afternoon," she said.
"If Josie's not working, then neither am I. I want to spend the whole day with you. Sounds good, right?" he said with a grin.
Josefina was momentarily speechless.
"How did you know I wasn't at the office, Oliver?" she asked.
"I called Kale, and he told me you took half the day off," Oliver explained.
Josefina shook her head with a smile, checking her phone to find a message from Kale she had missed earlier.
As they walked together, Josefina's phone rang again. This time, it was Dorian.
"Josie, do you have some time today? Could you swing by my office at two?"
"Dorian, what's up?"
"It's a personal matter. Can you make it?" Dorian's voice had a note of anticipation.
Josefina had never been to the Harrison family conglomerate, let alone Dorian's office.
"Dorian, see you at two," she agreed.
Though she wasn't sure what Dorian needed, if he was reaching out, it must be important.
After hanging up, Josefina turned to Oliver. "Sorry, I can't spend the whole day with you after all. Dorian's asked me to drop by his company."
