Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 588

Rowan reluctantly made his way down from the second-floor landing, his words spilling out in a rush. "Dad, we came today mainly to check on you. Let's keep things calm; we're family, after all."

Sydney joined in, "Yeah, Dad, I'm talking to you nicely. Can you just take a deep breath and chill out?"

Rowan barely reached Brandon's side when Brandon lashed out, hitting him in the leg with his cane, sending Rowan to his knees.

Brandon's voice thundered, "I let you in, and you have the audacity to bring her along? If it weren't for your mess-ups, would Oliver be alone?"

Rowan knelt there, humiliation washing over him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Josefina entering from the doorway.

Brandon didn't care about saving face in front of others, which only made Rowan angrier.

Sydney rushed over to help, but Rowan shrugged her off, standing up slowly on his own. "Dad, I'm your son, and Oliver's your grandson. Are you really going to cast me aside for him? And he’s not your only grandchild!"

Brandon laughed loudly, "In my eyes, Oliver's the only one that matters! As for you, your so-called 'talents' are just a public joke. Be thankful I still support you. I'm taking back your shares, and we'll see what you're worth then."

Sydney's heart pounded with anxiety. She clutched Rowan's arm, whispering, "Dad, please don't be mad. I'll take Rowan home. He's been sick and in a terrible mood; forgive him this once."

Turning to Rowan, she said, "Rowan, let's go home. Dominic's waiting for you."

Mentioning Dominic seemed to calm Oliver a bit. Rowan shot a furious glare at Oliver before leaving with Sydney.

As they passed Josefina, Rowan was about to say something, but Josefina simply stepped aside and walked away, ignoring them.

Rowan snorted, "No manners at all!"

Josefina's clear voice cut through, "No need to show manners to those who have none."
