Josie was behind the wheel, her mind racing as she tried to track down Grant. The hotel had just informed her that he'd already checked out.

Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out her phone, ready to call him. But before she could dial, a message from Grant popped up on her screen.

Grant: Rosa, knowing you're living your best life makes me happy. I've returned the car to Oliver and headed back to Rose Bay Island. Don't bother seeing me off. All I want is for you to be happy, forever and always.

Her fingers flew over the screen as she typed back: Hey Clear Sky, I'll bring the family to Rose Bay Island when we get the chance. Drive safe, and say hi to the old man for me.

Grant didn’t reply.

Josie slung her purse over her shoulder and walked toward the parking lot. That’s when she spotted a familiar figure.

Oliver was here.

Tilting her head, Josie eyed him curiously as she approached. "How'd you know I'd be here?"

It was almost as though Oliver had a sixth sense about her. Did he have some kind of radar?

"Caught wind of Grant leaving and you not mentioning it. Got me thinking he might've ghosted you. So I figured I'd swing by and see if I'd run into you. Looks like fate's on my side," Oliver said, taking Josie's hand and speaking softly. "Josie, it's time to chauffeur me to the office."

"How'd you get here, anyway?" she asked.

"Driver dropped me off, but then something came up and he had to leave," he replied.

Josie raised an eyebrow, skeptical.

"Josie, I really did get a ride," he insisted.

She pointed to her car. "Get in then."

Oliver slid into the driver’s seat, motioning for Josie to take the passenger side.

"I'll drive."

She handed him the keys.

They set off, Oliver at the wheel and Josie riding shotgun.

He was in high spirits, occasionally whistling a tune.
