Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 449

Josefina had to step out again that evening, so she dialed Oliver's number on her cell.

The call connected almost instantly, as if he'd been eagerly waiting for her to call all night.

With a playful tone, Josefina teased, “Oliver, have you been sitting by the phone waiting for my call?”

“Josie, you got me. I was waiting. If you hadn't called, I would've given in and rang you first,” he replied with a knowing chuckle.

A soft smile spread across Josefina’s lips, her eyes tender and warm.

Leaning back in her chair, she relaxed, looking every bit like a girl with her first sweet crush.

“Oliver, I can't do dinner tonight. Got some stuff to handle. How about tomorrow? My treat,” she proposed.

“Josie, it seems like you're always on the go, even busier than me,” Oliver said, a touch of wistfulness in his voice.

He wished they could meet up every day, share meals side by side.

“This is a special case. How about this – breakfast tomorrow morning, just you and me?”

Her voice was as sweet and gentle as ever, the kind that made it impossible to say no, for fear of upsetting her.

“Josie, you know I can't resist you,” Oliver said, his voice deep and charismatic.

“Then it's a date. See you in the morning.”

Josefina was about to hang up when Oliver chimed in again, “Josie, we could meet tonight too. Anytime you want to see me, I'll be there.”

Josefina was momentarily speechless...

Oliver was getting better at this flirting game.

Still, Josefina ended the call, and Oliver looked at his phone screen, a resigned smile on his face.

At that moment, George walked in, cautiously broaching the subject only after seeing Oliver put down his phone.

“The only reason I'm calling is to tell you to back off! If you mess with Josie, I won’t hesitate to make a move against Dominic! If you don’t want to mourn your own son, then watch your step!”

With that, Oliver hung up and blocked Rowan once again.

...

After work, Josefina packed up her things and headed over to JoyLife Tech.

She swiped her card to enter and made her way to the tech department to catch up with Albert.

The tech crew had already enjoyed their dinner, courtesy of Josefina’s takeout order.

“Boss,” the seven of them greeted Josefina in unison.

With a wave of her hand, Josefina’s pure, sparkling eyes shone brightly, her sweet and stunning face a delight to behold.
